P: But then you would have missed your tryouts!
P: No worries. I'm sure our paths will cross again.
J: That's true.
J: I hope so because it was fun hanging out in person.

P: Wish you were here, but I'll share photos!
J: Yeah it looked cool.
J: I should have stayed so I could see it in person with you.

P: It's competitive, definitely, but I'm sure one of those spots will be yours.
P: There's so much to do here! I'm not sure where to start. Maybe Gatorland ...
J: I really hope so. I'm just trying to keep my head up and show them what I got.
J: That sounds cool, you should go for sure.
Texting | Paige & Jordan
P: Don't put too much pressure on yourself. You're great, and someone will see that.
J: I'm trying not to. But it's hard and a lot of players want to get on to a team and there aren't a lot of spots.

P: I do miss you bringing me breakfast.
P: I understand though. When's your next tryout again?
J: I was pretty great at it if I get to say so.
J: It's in a couple of days, so I'm just trying to find the right balance to be in the right state of mind and not to tired.

P: I've arrived safely in Orlando!
J: That's good to hear. And sorry for not being able to join you and be your personal bringer of breakfast.
paigeparkā:
Well, I have one.Ā
I really donāt want to get out of bed.
Anything I can help with?
Maybe some coffee and breakfast I can get something on the way back from my run.
paigeparkā:
It seems like weāre on the same page, so thatās good.
So what are you up to today?
Thatās good.
Not much really. Maybe going for a run. There arenāt any tryouts just yet. Iām just glad that I donāt have that big of a hangover.
paigeparkā:
No, I remember everything perfectly. Do you?
I do remember everything. And I have to say that last night was pretty great. And as far as what happened I think we didnāt do anything we didnāt want to.
paigeparkā:
It really was. ⦠Whatās the last thing you remember?
It was and Iām glad you thought so too. Why? You need me to fill you in on what happened?
Last night was something else. Actually all of yesterdays was something else.
paigeparkā:
Paige laughed softly. Well, she wouldnāt mind either. She was very much enjoying kissing Jordan when flashing lights caught her attention. She parted from him and looked over his shoulder to get a better look. āI think the cops are here to break up the party,ā she said, nodding her head in confirmation a few moments later. āYup, people are leaving.ā She wasnāt surprised that the cops had shown up. The party had gotten pretty wild. āLetās call it a night,ā she suggested, standing up and brushing the sand from her dress. Paige let Jordan walk her back to her place. She gave him one last, lingering kiss at the door and then disappeared inside, flopping down on the bed. As she drifted off, she wondered if they would even remember tonight come morning.
Jordan nodded his head, he was glad that he wasnāt the only one that actually had liked what just had happened. A small breath left his lips, and he looked in the same direction as she did. And she was right, it was probably for the best if they left. Neither one of them would need to actually get caught in whatever that was. He made sure to brush the sand of his clothes and he followed her. Jordan made sure that she came back to her place safe, and he couldnāt keep the smile of his face, when she pulled back from the kiss he had just gotten. he really hoped that he would remember this in the morning.
paigeparkā:
Her fingers brushed the nape of his neck as she kept him close, her other hand resting lightly on his chest. It had been awhile since sheād even been remotely interested in anyone, but in that moment, Paige realized that she kind of liked Jordan. Not only was he easy on the eyes, but he was also easy to be around. They had fun together. It was weird that they hadnāt interacted until the graduation party since theyād been in the same orbit throughout college, but Paige was glad that they finally had. āWell, this was unexpected,ā she murmured, parting from him to take a breath. It was clear from the smile on her face that sheād meant unexpected in a good way.
It had been too long since he had done something like this. He liked it, and he liked her. Maybe it was because they had actually gotten to know each other before, and talked about things. So far the time they had spent together had been fun, a lot of fun, and who knew, maybe they would be able to continue part of this trip together and not just meet up here and there.Ā āYeah,ā he replied, a hand resting in the sand as he licked his lips looking at her,Ā āfor sure,ā he smiled at her,Ā āand if Iām honest here, I donāt mind continue this for a bit.ā
paigeparkā:
Paige had been completely taken in by the view in front of her when Jordan spoke, so sheād been completely unaware of his proximity to her until that moment. When she turned her head to face him and her eyes locked on his, she felt her breath hitch in her throat. She could have turned away from him as he leaned in. She probably should have, but she let her instincts take over and stayed right where she was. She was attracted to Jordan, and it was just a kiss. āYouāre not,ā she assured him and then she brought her lips to his again, deepening the kiss.
He knew that it might not have been the best idea to kiss her. He had no idea on what that actually would mean in the end but he had gone for it because it was what he wanted in that moment. It was a relief when she kissed him back, and then let him know that he hadnāt read it completely wrong.Ā āThatās good,ā he replied, and he leaned into the kiss, wrapping his arm around her. Lips moving together, as he deepened the kiss. It had been too long since he had kissed someone, maybe he should have kissed her at the graduation party, there had been a moment or two when he had thought about doing just that, who knew what that would have meant.Ā
paigeparkā:
Paige was relieved when Jordan took her hand and led her through the crowd. She held on tight, not wanting to be separated from him. āMuch,ā she answered him with a smile, leaning into his touch. For a moment, she felt the urge to close the distance between them, but she quickly nipped that feeling in the bud. She was a little buzzed from all of the drinks sheād been having after all. āYes, letās do that,ā she agreed with his suggestion. She didnāt want to leave the beach just yet. The view of the ocean was beautiful at night, and the light breeze coming in would help sober her up. It would keep her from doing something she shouldnāt ⦠like kissing Jordan. She found a secluded spot for them on the beach and took a seat in the sand. The music from the party was faint now, overtaken by the sound of ocean waves.
Jordan was glad that it had been as easy as it was to move them through the crowd. They had ended up on the beach pretty far away from the party. He could hear the music, but it wasnāt loud it was just something that let them know where they were. He buried his toes in the sand as they sat down, just watching the ocean, feeling the wind in his face. He was glad that he hadnāt had more to drink. He smiled as he turned to her. He knew that he probably was about to do something he shouldnāt, but it was something he had thought about more than once, and he knew that if his friends were there with him, theyād tell him to just go for it. He pushed a hand down in the sand and turned to her, leaning closer,Ā āI really hope Iām not reading things wrong,ā he said, probably more to himself than to Paige, as he closed the small gap between him, his lips brushing against hers in a soft kiss.
paigeparkā:
āA beerās fine,ā she responded, taking her drink from him with one hand. With the other, she led him into the thick of the crowd. āLetās dance!ā she shouted so that he could hear her, letting herself get lost in the music. Paige appreciated alone time like most people, but she thrived when she was with others. She was always seeking out human connection, something she could probably thank her mother for. The beach got busier as time passed. It started to be impossible to get away from the crowd. Coupled with the drinks sheād been having, Paige suddenly found it a little hard to breathe. Knowing that Jordan wouldnāt hear her otherwise, she pulled him close and leaned in close to his ear. āGet me out of here?ā She put her hands on his chest to maintain some distance between them as the crowd continued to swell.
It was easy to get lost in the music and it had been a long time since he had been out like this. The party was a lot more fun than he had thought it would be, and it was even more fun to spend time with Paige. As time passed it was getting more and more crowded, he knew that he shouldnāt be surprised about it, but he tried his best to keep an eye on her, he didnāt want to lose her in the crowd because he had no idea on if he would be able to find her again, if he did.Ā āSure,ā he replied, he felt her hand against his chest and he moved to grab her other hand,Ā āletās go,ā he said as he pulled her with him, through the crowd.Ā
They managed to get out from the worst of it, the music still loud but it was easier to talk,Ā ābetter?ā he asked, and made sure to face her, he moved a hand and cupped her cheek, smiling at her.Ā āIām sure we can find some better place a bit down the beach if you rather move there.ā
