Paisley couldn’t say she was mentally prepared for the night’s festivities. And though she loved her cousin dearly, she wished there would’ve been a better heads up or more preparation for the night. The young woman spent most of her time in open spaces with trees and animals, not a place packed full of people screaming. She understood why, yes, but concerts were never really something the brunette was into so to experience it was something that had her mind frazzled and she needed to have just a bit of time to herself - even if that meant a secluded hallway. She was easily able to sneak away from her cousin when Carly delved into conversation with the others. That was something she admired about the older girl, she made it all look so easy. Humming to herself, she walked back and forth in the hall - her imagination running wild at the moment - and didn’t realize there was another person there when she felt a thump and she was almost on the floor until they caught her. Her eyes were a bit wide from the scare, a small “It’s okay” coming from her. She cleared her throat really quickly, thinking he may not have heard her. “It’s okay.. I wasn’t really paying attention either. Mostly just startled,” she admitted shyly.

Glad that the young woman was okay had Josh’s nerves settling down, but then again they were riling back up from just standing there, his high was definitely not going to be leaving him anytime soon. “Oh? I startled you-- I’m really sorry, honestly I didn’t mean to I promise I don’t go around trying to scare all of the people backstage-- unless of course it’s halloween then it’s a different story.” He said trailing off with a laugh as he hoped he could at least get the petite female to smile. She didn’t look like their normal fans and the fact that she wasn’t surrounding herself with the other people at the backstage party definitely gave Josh the idea that the young woman wasn’t particularly fond to be there. He tried not to take it personal, and he tried not too judge too far as his judgement wasn’t always the best thing. “Are you lost?” He inquired erasing his earlier judgments for a test to see if she was actually separated from someone she may have showed up with. “Because I can show you the way back to where everyone is?”

Josh knew Carly had said she may be inviting some people to the backstage area of the show tonight, but he doubted the young songwriter actually knew the hoards of people that crowded the small backstage area so he stayed as far as away as he possibly could. Sure he was still high off the show they had just played, and that normally meant that he could be the life of any party, yet there was just something special about the show that just had him wanting to savor as much of it as he could. There was nothing like playing for a place they had never been too, the crowd was so energetic and welcoming that it still sent chills down his spine. Laughing to himself at how giddy he was being, Josh shook his head sneaking away from the growing party to the small little hallway in his own little head hoping he could ride off his high by himself when he stumbled into someone. “Awe, shit --” He exclaimed reaching forward to grab them before they hit the floor. “I’m sorry. One of these days I’ll start to pay more attention to where I’m going.” He jested giving them a warm smile. “Are you hurt?”
