Peter had been working all day. In between working for the paper, helping out the other heroes, and school… he was hardly getting any sleep. This resulted in him drinking lots of coffee, causing jittery hands as he continued to scribble down plans and sketches for inventions that would help out. A mess of numbers and problems, in all honesty. It probably wouldn’t make much sense to anyone but him.
Peter took on many projects at the same time to keep himself occupied, to stop thinking about things. It was starting to take a toll on him, although he’d never let his fellow heroes see that.
He jumped when he felt the hand grasp his shoulder. Peter ripped his headphones out, spinning around. “Sorry,” He breathed out, his eyes narrowing a bit in confusion. “W-what did you say?”
“I said,” Jessica began, pulling her hand from his shoulder and dropping it to her side once more. “You better have a good reason for having walked by me without so much as a ‘hey’. C'mon now, Pete. Don’t think I wouldn’t have noticed.” She stuffed her hands into the pockets of her black, leather jacket, a small smirk spreading on her face.
