Hau had grown used to being bitten by Pokemon - he’d raised a Yungoos, after all - so he wasn’t particularly upset when the Archeops nabbed a couple pokebeans right from his hand, just startled.
“Whoa there! Where’d you come from!?” Hau questioned, backing up a bit at first in case the Pokemon tried to attack him. It didn’t seem aggressive, just hungry, so he quickly relaxed and reached into his bag for another handful of beans to hold out for it.
“Piki! Piki!” The boy’s Pikipek, however, was not happy with the situation, and it flapped its wings angrily at the much larger flying-type. How dare Archeops steal its lunch! And Hau was offering it more? The nerve!
“Aw, relax Pikipek. I’ve got enough beans for both of you!” Hau reached to pat the bird’s head with his free hand, and then looked up when he heard a voice. “Oh, are you Archeops’ trainer? It’s okay, we’re both fine! Uh, I hope you don’t mind me giving her some treats, she seemed hungry!”
The dino bird seemed not to pay much mind to the smaller flying type, or maybe she was completely oblivious to the pikipecks protest? It was plausible, she certainly was much more interested in food than the other bird, though no one could know for sure.
On the other hand, while Skyla was revealed that they were alright, she was a little less than pleased, though she was mostly glad nobody lost a finger in this whole process.
“ Yes, I am, and she’s more of a carnivorous pokemon, but a few beans shouldn’t hurt. “
It was true, that while Archeop’s main diet mostly contained other small birds and rodent pokemon, ( She was one of Skyla’s battle pokemon after all, you can’t have an unhealthy pokemon at something like a tournament. ) she figured that letting her have a few beens once in a while wouldn't leave her worse for wear. She just wished that they wouldn’t dash away from her the first chance she got at some.
