JDRF Ride To Cure 2021

We did it!! Exhausted and sore and ready for some Pizza and Beer!

10 miles to go. We’re so close yet so very far. Feet are cramping and seat is angry! 😜

And we found a big bike!

Quick stop ~71 miles in. I think everyone is struggling and is ready to be done. It’s hot. My seat is killing me…FUN! 😁

And we made it to the end! 51 miles to go. Everyone seems to be in good spirits.

Taking a stop at 48.70 miles. Really cool little place. Great place to stop and refuel. Had to fight through some cramping in the ole hamstring, but nothing a little hydration and stretching couldn’t fix.

Quarter of the way through! Fixed one flat and breaking to refuel!

We packed up and headed to Richmond today. Battled some rain, traffic, and a little bit of hunger. We made it safely to our beautiful little VRBO/AirBnB. We enjoyed dinner at the Oak & Apple…now on to more hydration and rest! We are hoping to start around 6:30am. Weather forecast is…clear and hot. Next stop…The VA Capital Trail!! We’re very excited to get this ride started!!
