Task 003
To say Jean was excited for Homecoming would have been an understatement. Yes, it was normally something that other high school students (especially human ones) would often gripe about, saying that it was just some cheesy dance. She still loved it though, as it gave her a chance to dress up like she'd used to when she was alive and to dance. She never felt closer to alive than when she was dancing, skirts swirling around her ankles. She hadn't asked anyone to go with her, and no one had asked her to go with them, which was just fine with her. It gave her the opportunity to float around the dance floor and the venue without having another person tagging along behind her. This year, she'd done something a bit different than usual and put her name in for Homecoming Queen. She had more of a standing in this school than other ones she'd been in, enough of a solid foothold in the hierarchy to earn her some votes. And it would be nice, if she won. A bit of recognition, proof that she had an impact. Hopefully this year she wouldn't almost lose an arm, though...
