Sexuality: Don’t know what that means. I like one man. My lovely boyfriend. I don’t know. Sorry.

I am 64 years old. Or 257. Depends on where you’re standing. My birthday is sometime around early May, so I just call it the second of May. I don’t really celebrate, though.

Eponine pulls her hand back now and shoves her hands in her pockets.

It's all so pretty. I don't even know what to get. Something warm. Practical.

She's trying hard not to think in vain terms, even as her eyes linger on a handsome green jacket. It's the kind of thing Marius's friend Combeferre would have. Eponine loves it, but she knows she should think smaller. Get a simple shirt and trousers. A decade in the gutter and she still has a strong hankering for fine things.

She picks out several cotton shirts and dark-colored trousers to match. She considers new shoes, but decides her boots fit just fine for now despite the fact that they're visibly worn at the seams.

When she turns to Valjean, her smile is bigger and more genuine than any she's ever offered him.
