MEL AND LANGDON | The Only Exception – Paramore
I've been trying to identify why I find *this* specific look on Langdon's face as flirtatious because he isn't doing anything besides concealing a smile as he waits for Mel to get he’s joking with her.
But I think it's exactly WHY I find it flirty and non-platonic.
Because look-- I'm not saying you can't wait for friends to understand you're joking and only smile once they've caught up to what you're doing. We've all done this with friends, this action is not inherently flirtatious because that would be insane to say. But it's the fact the (hidden) smile is meant for Mel only. Dana and Perlah are there too, they know what a burr hole is and that Langdon's joking and yet-- they aren't included in the joke. He could look at them and silently communicate that they're all in on the joke but he's not.
This joke isn't meant for them, this concealed smile isn't meant for them. It's ONLY for Mel.
I hope this makes sense. Maybe it does. Maybe it doesn't.
You don't have to pass around footage of police shooting a little brown boy to death to spread awareness or keep his story in the news.
People who are actually concerned and who would want to do something about it and support the fight against police don't need to see it.
The words are enough: Police shot 13-year-old Adam Toledo dead and then lied and said he had a gun in his hand at the time he was shot. He did not.
That's the story.

Lesbian women support transgender people in twitter campaign
In late December the British conservative newspaper, The Telegraph, published another TERF-driven article on lesbian culture going extinct because of transgender activism.
Transphobic activists, like members of the British LGB Alliance, try to divide the LGBTQA community. They are not succeeding. The great majority of lesbians world wide stand in solidarity with trans people.
They see that being lesbian or trans is not something you chose. It is something you are.
As Pink News reports, Lou Englefield, director of UK organization Pride Sports, started the lesbian protests against the article and the LGB Alliance on twitter, where she shared photos of herself with the hashtag “Not Extinct Lesbian”.
This led to a large number of tweets where lesbian women shared photos documenting their own existence as lesbians and giving support to trans people.
More tweets here.

This is so important!! Lesbianism has been weaponised by transphobes for awhile now and we need to fight back against it. and NO i don’t mean just lesbians but EVERYBODY. don’t let TERFs hide behind the lesbian label! Most of these people aren’t even lesbians, and for the odd time that they are, they’re in the hated minority. We all have a responsibility to fight off transphobes while simultaneously ripping the faux lesbian shield out of their hands.
Lesbians support Trans people! and also, many lesbians ARE trans people!
