Actually you SHOULD make problematic content. You SHOULD explore dark or taboo topics. You SHOULD have a space where you can cope with your traumas or explore sensitive topics in a way that doesn't hurt anyone.

I think the idea was that if God let you win clearly you were correct. Kind of a leftover from the old pagan days in some cases. This was often a practice at things (actual term for a meeting of the leaders of Germanic tribes). If the gods let you live then clearly Eric really did illegally infringe on your territory and he’s dead now anyways so he can’t infringe on your territory anymore
