Hello!💐 Today I want to tell you how I will celebrate it.💜
Summer solstice, Litha or Midsummer is a celebration of the Goddess and God at the height of their power. They are the King and Queen of the fertile lands, and together they rule over the fertile, growing Earth. Their mature love for each other ensures the success of the ripening crops. The Goddess heavy with pregnancy mirroring the heavily laden fields, orchards and gardens. The God is the living representation of the summer sun, the Sun King who nurtures and protects the Earth Goddess.
Colours: yellow, green and blue.
Deities: Freya, Flora, Aphrodite, Venus, Hathor, Bast.
Faries and Forest spirit.
Foods: Vegetables and Fruits, honey, wine, herbal teas, beer.
Herbs: Lavender, Thyme, Chamomile, Alchemilla.
Flowers: Roses, Lily and Peony, St. John’s Wort.
Incense: Sage, Cedar, Lemon, Rose and Lavender.
The power of the Sun at Solstice is protective, healing, empowering, and inspiring. It adds a powerful charge to all spells, crystals and herbs. Divination on this night is traditional.
First at all I will clean my home. I will throw away all old items that are broken or I don’t use it anymore. After that I will clean my home and my Altar. This night is magical, so I will charge my crystals and dryed herbs.
I will prefer to drink beer and to eat it some fresh vegetables and fruits.
Element of Litha is Fire so, camp fire is one of the symbols of Litha. I don’t have any chance to make a camp fire so I will use my own herbal candles.
At the Midnight I will go to the forest. Here I will eat and drink, collect some herbs and meditate. I want to feel forest spirits!
I will write all my problems on a paper and burn it in the Litha fire. This night is magical, so I want to feel it, how my problems leave me.
