paul alexander nolan's voice change in the reckoning is incredible and underappreciated. for anyone who hasnt seen the film, that moment in the musical is shocking and to have him immediately deepen his voice and lean into the dark, evil side is so beautiful

okay but the thing about the lost boys is that the frog brothers and sam are the silly, fun, young teenager characters that all have somewhat shady/tragic backstories, lucy is a mother who lost her freedom and is struggling to gain it back while maintaining her relationships to the people most important to her and maybe finding happiness in someone new, michael is the distressed teen going thru shit who finds himself feeling understood by a new friend group, david & paul & marko & wayne are boys who have found each other in bad places and made life better together, and star is a girl struggling to find any place she feels safe and happy in a cruel world that has taken everything from her. all of these reasons are why its such a stellar piece of media
