This album by the Verve is one of my favorite albums of all time - of which I have quite a few. Albeit there are moments where it becomes somewhat monotonous towards the end of certain tracks - but overall, it's an album full of emotion and overall aural goodness. Getting Busy
So, as far as my day job is concerned, we're quickly approaching the time of year where work starts to slow down to a crawl - the kind where you are stranded under the hot sun in the middle of nowhere with only watered down, day-old soda left to drink and running out fast. Parched yet? Well, this is me and this means that in order to not end up little more than a skeleton in tattered clothes lying against a cactus, I've got to get busy. Thus, I call out to you, the public - give me your projects! Or better yet, please consider taking me on as part of your development team! This is, of course, where things get tricky, unfortunately. I wish more people would just look at experience, work accomplished and the drive a person has to produce good, solid work instead of basing their hiring decisions solely on a curriculum vitae or similar pieces of paper - but it is what it is. My work is here and it's available for you to see, examine and an aide in helping you decide whether or not I'm the right fit for your project(s).

Introducing Deer Parade
While I love developing and designing websites, I've also always loved drawing and creating stories on paper. In fact, since I was very young it's been my hope that someday I could actually get into illustrating children's books or some type of similar work. Unfortunately, art is also one of those things that, while I love it, I'm too critical of my own stuff to have pursued using it in any of these ways. Nevertheless, I present to you, Deer Parade.com, my online portfolio of illustration. Follow me as I try to define my personal illustration style and maybe even pick up some work where I can use this skill.

I really wish I had more time for this, but I simply haven't: making music. Since High School when I could first afford my own 4-track recorder, I've been making music. I never got very good at it, mind you. But it's all for fun anyway. I enjoy making bleeps and bloops that hamonize into little 3 to 4 minute electronic tracks. Here's one I wrapped up not to long ago. Please have a listen.
A New Blog
So, this may be a bit superfluous, but this is a blog within a blog, basically. See, I've used WordPress for a long time, and for as long as I've had an online portfolio, I've almost always had a blog; using WordPress to power it. But truth be told, on my own projects, it feels time better spent if I dont do too much to make it come together. And using WordPress for maintaining a blog has always meant that I have to style everything just the way I like it, which ends up being time-consuming and unnecessary. Thus, what you're reading was typed using Tumblr and is merely being displayed on my website using SimplePie RSS and PHP scripting. It's good to type about things, but now I don't have to bother with adding in the comments, dates, back links, archives and all of that. I'll just display a few entries at a time, call it a day and do more of what I love best - making the web pretty for other people, and not myself.
