She turned her head in confusion, but she kept her innocent look. Maybe he didn’t want to be friends anymore, maybe he was going to reveal something huge that would impact their relationship, but whatever it was, it was bothering him and she didn’t like seeing him so bothered.

“What about our relationship, and are you going to be okay? You look pale, would you like to sit down?”

“Yes, that’s exactly it.”

He couldn’t handle her (not-so) piercing gaze, the pressure had been real. Ace’s hands twitched, then he cleared his throat. A look of desperation became apparent, his attempts to speak an obvious cry for help.

Finally, he opens his mouth and something comes out.

“No! I…” he looks Nigiri in the eye, “You’re adorable, and I… I want to go on a date with you.”

His look of desperation made her worry even more. The ever-so confident Acetylene Lamp that she had worked with before was reduced to a nervous mess before her. It was strange to say the least.

Her eyes widened when he admit that he wanted to go on a date with her, the compliment of her being adorable flying over her head. She cupped her mouth and blushed brightly.

“Y-you want to go on a date..w-with me??” she fumbled over her own words, “Y-yes, of course I’ll go on a date with you, Mr. Lamp!”

She couldn’t help getting excited, but maybe she got a little too excited.
