I'm on this constant mission to make a Gothic script that's Textura based and has high x-heights with very compressed spaces in between. @sachinspiration does it so perfectly that I'm extremely jelly HAHAHA 😂 might as well keep experimenting and practicing 😁 Anyone interested in participating in our Gothic Calligraphy workshop? This is a constant reminder to myself that I'm never too good for practice 😁 honestly, I still can't do those unorthodox strokes that people like Luca Barcellona are doing hahaha! 😂 ICYMI: We @wearebcds have a Gothic Calligraphy Workshop in the South! It's gonna happen at @spooneatdrink on the 14th of May and we still have slots open for those eager, young minds hahaha! This is it! We're going down South! As in South, Paranaque! hahaha We'll be having a Gothic Calligraphy Workshop in Spoon Eat + Drink at Paranaque! It's a foundation course and we'll be sharing the things that you'll want to know when you're doing Gothic Calligraphy and maybe when you're drawing Gothic letters as well - like how this piece was written for example. 😂 I'll be posting to the links on my profile so be sure to check things out! Huge huge thanks to @philane and @spooneatdrink for giving us the chance to do the workshop in the resto! Apologies for the delays as well but I'm glad we'll be able to push this through. It's a huge honor to meet you, Victor. Thanks so much for hanging out with us here in Manila! Learnt so much from the workshop that I feel more confident with my Italics hahaha! You're a monster with your letters - it's too awesome! I even got to see you do a mural here too! Have a safe flight home with your family and we hope to see you guys again!! Huge huge thanks for @typekita and @warehouseeight_ for organizing and hosting the workshop!! Ang galing niyo please! Congrats too for the Letters for the Philippines exhibit for #DesignWeekPh 🙌🙌

The work at the back is @cyrcle's work for #ArtBGC 2015. Too amazing for words ain't it? This is just one of the murals that was done during ArtBGC 2015 and there are a whole lot more scattered all over BGC when you wander around the city streets. The thought of doing murals has been passing through my mind for a couple of times and now I'm taking this chance to do something big. I tried joining this year's #ArtBGC without any expectations and now I'm gonna be a part of it. I'm taking this shot and I'm gonna be greedy(sarreh) about it cuz I want it that bad. To cut this drama short, I'm humbly asking for your help by liking or maybe commenting on my photo at the @ArtBGC account! It's the one with the white calligraphic work on the gray wall. You won't miss it! It'd be a huge help if I could borrow a few seconds of your time to do so. Whatever the outcome, I shall accept it with gratitude.

#BigasHindiBala. This day is so depressing it really grinds my gears. Filipino innovators were mistreated. A scholastic establishment got burnt down. A prestigious mountain still burning. But nothing grinds my gears more than what happened in Kidapawan. For a country that's known for its agriculture, it's sad that our farmers are being maltreat by their own government. I'm so fucking infuriated that I can't even make an argument with all that's happening especially to those farmers that only wanted food but what did they receive? Bullets. Fucking bullets. Not only the farmers but also the policemen. Both parties were the victims of this unnecessary event. I empathize with the policemen who were in the rally as well. I can't help but feel sorry for them because they're serving a shitty government. They don't deserve this.

So I recently watched the movie #HeleSaHiwagangHapis (roughly translate to A Lullaby to the Sorrowful Mystery) and a part of my wants to watch the whole 8 hours again. Pretty good film personally but I think that it's not for the usual movie goers. Although this was my first Lav Diaz film, I extremely appreciated the style and direction. I really really really really really wanna comment about the casting but I'm afraid that I'll offend the die hard fans and no it's absolutely not about John Lloyd Cruz. HAHAHA 😂 anyway, if you guys HAVE the time, please do watch it! also, don't forget to review Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo so that you guys can follow through the movie 😁 In other news, I'll be making announcements for future events for the next few days and I really wanna keep you guys updated so it'd be awesome if you guys could Turn On Post Notifications from the upper right side of this post (those three little dots is what I'm sayin'). 😁🙌 PS. @carligraphy and I will be writing calligraphy and lettering pieces along with our awesome artist friends who'll be selling merch and doing pieces as well at @artintheparkph this coming April 3, 2016!
