What Is Love?

- Love is a feeling or deep affection over someone or something which gives you joy.

Why is it important?

- Love is important because like what I’ve said, it gives you joy and happiness. Love is the reason why we are living. Not just for the opposite sex but also for the family.

The Kind of Love I am Looking for

- The kind of love I am looking for is a person who is happy, religious down to earth and most especially a person who commit himself to me wholeheartedly with passion and intimacy. One Robert Sternberg theorized. The Triangular Theory of Love in which in consummate love, there is commitment, passion and Intimacy. And that is what I am looking for.

The Emotion Challenge

What is emotion?

-a natural instinctive state of mind deriving from one’s circumstances, mood, or relationships with others.

Why is it important to manage emotion?

-It is important to manage emotion because it is where you’ll be able to develop relationships with others. emotions is a very fragile thing. When someone gives you pain, your emotions will be the representation on how you are mature enough to handle this kind of circumstances. and if ever you don’t have the right emotional management, maybe the emotions you will use might worsen the situation.

Steps on how to manage/control emotions

1. Don’t react right away. Think first about the things that you will say and think about the possible outcomes if you react immature.

2. After  thinking the said things, you will need someone to lean on and pour all the things that you say.

3. Look in the future and see what will happen if you use the right emotion in a certain situation.

4. Lastly, forgive and forget. With this one, you will be able to live fresh and see the world more clearly.

Dear Ate

Dear Kaka, I know taking care of Zia and Abby is hard. From waking up until the time you sleep, you’re always guiding, teaching and being a mother to them. It makes you not only physically tired but also mentally. And because of that you need some time for yourself. I know you love being a mother but you need to take care of yourself too. we may help you with Zia and Abby but there are also ways to be mentally healthy. Some are 1. Deal with stress; make sure you conquer and overcome it. 2. REST. Resting will make your mind work properly. You should find time to sleep and refresh your mind from what is happening around you. Last but not the least, ask for help. we are always here for you and help you. Just ask us for you to clear your mind first. Ask for help and we’ll be there. That’s all Love you

Response: Hi, Shyn! After reading your letter, I’m strongly convinced that it’s not bad to take a break for yourself afterall. To just think of things that must be done in the house and for the kids is already stressful. And I also need to keep everything in order and make sure nothing goes out of hand. Short rests and unwinding in between must be good. Thanks for your advices. I’ll surely keep those in mind for me to be mentally healthy.

How can you deal with stress? -Dealing with stress can be hard but if you take responsibilities and use time wisely, then you can be able to overcome it and have a healthy mind and life.

Expectation Feels

What others think of me is very important. Yes, people might say its not a big deal but whatever I do, I still think of what others is saying and expecting about me. That is why I feel pressured to do the right thing. My mom and dad is very perfectionist. We siblings should always do the right thing. And thats one of the reasons why I love them because they make us feel that we need to step up because I know that its for our own good. Also the pressure hits me because of what my friends expect in me. Now that imvfar away from where the are, they expect me to do good in school and be the Jemay they know. And that really gave me some time to think of how to attain that expectations. As my parents say, “be more responsible”. Yes its hard; especially in this generation where having to resist temptations is very hard. But I know myself. As long as I have the guidance of the significant people, I can do better and live up to their expectations.

My Achievement

If I were to decide which achievement I should choose, I will definitely choose this moment. Grade 10 moving up. This moment gives me such an overwhelming feeling because first I was able to finish junior high school and survive all the hardships I have encountered. This moving up not only indicate that I am about to go on with the new chapter of my life, but also it somehow tells me that I am really growing up and I need to be independent and more responsible with what I am supposed to do. Second, I love this moment because My parents were able to witness me in achieving another step in the journey of my life.

A personal Mandala

I chose this mandala because first of all, I love dreamcatchers. It makes me believe that dreams do come true. Dream catcher is one of the things that inspire me tp have dreams. My dream is one of the reason why i am trying my best to do everything. I always want to give or repay my parents what they gave me for the past years. It may not be a material thing but i know with this one, I can make them proud. This mandala is connected to me because its purpose is just like me. I always catch dreams. Whenever there’s an opportunity, I quickly grab them because I know Allah (S.W.T) has planned that for me.

The Selfie Project

“It takes courage to grow up and know who you really are.” Growing up is easy, but the horrible yet amazing part of it is the process of knowing who you really are.

Hi Im Jemima Ferdaussah M. Derogongan, Jem for Short. Jemima Ferdaussah which means “the bird of the seventh stage of heaven. My family calls me “Shyn” because of Shaina Magdayao and I don’t even know why. My friends call me “Jemay”. I am a proud Muslimah. A student of La Salle Academy Iligan City, HUMSS 101. What I love to do are, reading novels because of what the books and words makes me feel. Love to watch movies because of how actors portray the characters gives me an amusement because it makes people relate. And I love to swim because water gives me comfort. Not an excellent swimmer though. I can but not that much.

I am a person who doesn’t hold grudges and forgives easily. But if a person really pushes me, I’ll hate him forever. I don’t know if it’s true but my best friend said that I’m kind and generous but terror when it comes to my enemy. You will easily see and feel if I don’t like you.
