I'm going to be taking a bit of a break from tumblr rp....With current goings on and the holidays, I don't want you all hanging on for replies. Her yell startled May and Skye who hadn't seen or heard her sneaking into the kitchen.
May was the quickest to recover and come up with a believable lie.
"It's yours." She said. "He has mugs for all of us because he believes in the healing power of a soothing cup of tea."
Jemma's eyes just darkened further....further mistrusting May further at a lie that Jemma did not believe.
"Americans don't understand tea," she countered, narrowing her eyes at May's words as she obviously parroted them.
"You don't think Phil could be the exception to that?" May asked as she spotted Phil standing behind Jemma with a concerned expression on his face.
"Produce your mug, Skye's mug, and Leopold's mug," she requested, without hesitance. "Prove it," she remarked under her own breath as she took Phil's and in her own.
May wasn't a top SHIELD agent for nothing. She was quick to produce the requested mugs, pulling them all out of the sink, evading showing that they weren't kept in Phil's office.
"See?"
Jemma eyed the unique three mugs, spotting each seemed unique, which was what she was looking for.
"For now," she accepted as she moved towards her sleeping palate, tucking in close to Phil.
"I'll take what I can get. Lights out in thirty minutes," May told them.
Phil inched his pallet closer, the better for the whispered conversation they were going to have once they were left alone."
Jemma laid down beside Phil, turning on her side to look over at him.
"This is weird isn't it?"
Phil smiled as she kissed him. "I should find a recipe to make my own after we get back home, huh?"
He gave the waiter his menu and turned his focus back on Jemma's parents.
"Sometimes having a break between interesting cases is a good thing," he remarked, thinking of how interesting had a tendency to be code for complicated missions in his experience with Shield.
Phil murmured that he liked it, between bites so he wouldn't be speaking with his mouth full.
"No, she hasn't," he said. "I have been meaning to ask."
"It actually related to her favorite biscuit....Or cookie," Sherlock began explaining with a bright smile. "Jemma was always a fan of strawberry filled biscuits but it was when she was about six years old that she convinced all her classmates that she was "THE Jammie Dodger."
"Convincing?! Jemma 'predicted' the weather two days in a row and the kids were eating out of her hand! She propagated the lie by saying her parents baked the cookies and no one questioned her, given her name!" Quentin related to those at the table around him. "Jemma was a hoodlums from near birth!" he said with a certain smirk on his face.
Phil chuckled and turned to Jemma.
"I see you started young with the bad girl shenanigans," he observed with fond amusement.
"Bad girl!?!" Jemma started before her Father, Dad, and Uncle started laughing. "From birth!" her Dad reacted easily. "That's not even possible!" she retorted on her own behalf as she took in the men in her life. "You were always the bad seed of you and Quentin...."
She and Quentin audibly gasped and looked toward their father and dad for confirmation....both of with who appeared hesitant to agree. "Not a bad girl...""Not the worst!" both began at the same time.

Phil picked up on it too, but he was equally unsure about what it was, especially after being distracted by Jemma's hug and mystifying thoughts of how he didn't like that they were sleeping in separate rooms.
He hugged her back, tightly.
"Night, Jemma," he said.
"A sleepover would be a good idea, they'd both be in the same place if there's an emergency," May observed. "Although there's probably more room for them in Phil's room."
Skye just sighed, "Give me a sec," she said as she went back to Jemma's room. "Oh Jemma girl, we're gonna have a sleepover with Phil! But his room's bigger so lets gather the blankets and Doctor Bearson to head that way."
May headed back to Phil's room to tell Phil about the sleepover and help him make up a sleep palette for himself.
Jemma happily cheered before grabbing up her own palette's blankets with Doctor Bearson and following Skye out of the room towards Phil's quarters.
"PHIL! We're have a sleep over!" she announced as soon as they arrived at the room.
Phil grinned and leapt to his feet to help her
"Yay!"
Jemma giggled when she heard Phil's reply, piling in behind Skye and setting up her palette near Phil's. It was then that she began to notice certain things....Like Phil's kettle on the counter. "Phil do you like hot tea?" she asked softly as she knelt on the ground near him.
Phil shook his head.
"I'd rather drink hot chocolate or coffee...but maybe things changed as I got older?"
"Maybe but that would be quite a drastic change," she reason as she eyed Skye and May speaking and sneaked into the kitchen. She scooted a chair close to the counter and climbed as silently as she could, opening the cabinet closest to the kettle. Just what she thought!
"WHY DOES PHIL HAVE A TARDIS MUG IF HE'S NEVER SEEN DOCTOR WHO!?"
