Yeah, you can’t make the match, either.
As a biracial girl, sometimes people try to come after you, especially when you’re an actor, and say, ‘She doesn’t do enough Black roles’ — whatever that means. There are always people who try to attack that part of you. When I got into the business, I was like, ‘Shit, I really need a good role that shows people that I love who I am.’ Because sometimes you can get caught up in stereotypical roles like the girlfriend or the cheerleader, and people feel like you’re not accepting your culture. So, it was cool with Dope that I could do that without fitting into a stereotype of what being Black is. - Kiersey Clemons for Refinery29

“ well, you do deserve the honor!! seriously, when everyone else was following kylie jenner or whatever, i was following you. ” gracie shrugs, her hands plating with each other. “ i’m not sure, actually!! i liked everything so much in college and just graduated early in psychology. kinda exploring my options right now. BUT, i think seeing them anyways could help me decide?? ”
“Oh, god. It’s like looking in a mirror,” Jemma gushed happily, resisting the urge to start bouncing on her toes. “I was just like that in school. I mean, I was much younger than everyone so I never really fit in to begin with, but those people are so trivial, I never understood the appeal.” She nodded understandingly. “I mean, you definitely have time. You can’t be older than, what, 20? I have plenty of material you could use! Fitz might have some as well, if you think engineering could be a possibility.”

So he's obviously really good then.
“Best lay of my life. The details are not up to me to disclose.”
Tell us what Fitz is like in bed!
“I really don’t think either of us would be comfortable with me divulging such details. I know he certainly wouldn’t appreciate it.”
“ all good things!! ” she perks of excitedly, on the ball of her feet as she looked up. “ just the journals or what not. you’re one of the reasons i graduated at fifteen, really. my inspiration during my school years. ”
“Oh, wow!” Jemma exclaimed, clasping her hands together. “I’m so honored. That’s incredibly sweet,” she gushed, mirroring the younger girl’s excitement. “Are you interested in the biochemistry field? I’ve got plenty of old books and notes I could loan you, I’m sure. If you’d like, that is.”
YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED CONGRATS!
“Exciting, isn’t it!? I can’t quite believe it either.”

everything was just getting too real for him and he knew he wanted to do this. it wouldn’t be the wedding he expected but he didn’t care as long as jemma was going to be his wife. “yes!” he muttered to himself in excitement, throwing his arms in the air as they kissed. eloping was the only thing that could work for them. it was quick and easy and they could just jump straight back into work with rings on their fingers. “as if life couldn’t get any better.”
Jemma couldn’t help but laugh against his lips at his excited reaction. Honestly, she never imagined herself getting proposed to in bed after a morbid documentary, still largely lacking any clothing. But somehow it was perfect, which Fitz must have sensed too because he wasn’t the type to impulsively propose like that. She pulled back, resting her forehead against his and closing her eyes. “My life has gotten exponentially better since you walked in it,” she murmured, resting her hand on his cheek.
the thought of losing jemma made his stomach turn and his blood boil. in their time working for shield, they had both been faced with death and that thought was simply terrifying. he couldn’t lose simmons, he wouldn’t let that happen. “jemma..” he started, eyes glued to the wall in thought. there was a voice in his head telling him to do this, telling him it was the right thing to do and he knew now was the time. it would be freaky and daunting but after watching that documentary and constantly putting their lives on the line, he had to do it. now or never. “jemma, marry me.” the engineer said quickly, probably incoherently too as he sat up. he should have been nervous as hell asking his girlfriend to just marry him but he wasn’t. “marry me.”
Jemma blinked rapidly, her jaw going slightly slack in shock. “What?” She muttered stupidly, not being able to pull her gaze from his face. It was so sudden, but what hadn’t been in their relationship? When it finally sunk in what he was asking and that he was serious, she felt herself break out into a smile. Slowly, she gave a short nod. “Okay,” she said quietly. “I mean, yes,” she repeated with another nod. The way he was looking at her when he asked made her heart beat faster but with excitement rather than nerves. Marriage was really the logical next step in their relationship. As Jemma thought about it, she knew there’s no one else she would want by her side for the rest of her life. Besides, he’d already been there for nearly half of it. “Of course I’ll marry you, Leo,” she finally said with a laugh, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him into a kiss.
The most exciting thing about working on Stranger Things is getting to work on Stranger Things. The cast is great, the story is great, the crew and production team are great. You would think with that formula I’d have been better prepared for such a massively positive response, but I was still very much surprised.
They are so adorable I’m crying.

his grip on her just got a little bit tighter, wanting to keep her close, wanting to make sure she was safe and by his side. laying in silence for a few seconds, his eyes closed, as if trying to get rid of the horrific thoughts and visuals from the documentary to disappear. sure, it was horrible but it was all REAL . “i never want to lose you.” leo’s voice was quiet, softer than usual too as he leaned over to peck her head. “i don’t want to think about losing my best friend.. my girlfriend. life is… short. too short.”
Jemma grabbed the remote with her free hand and quickly shut off the television. The brief silence was a tad unnerving, but much preferable to the documentary. A quiet breath escaped her as he tightened his grip on her, but the pressure was comforting and she relaxed into him. She turned her head to press her lips against his collarbone. “I don’t want to lose you either,” she whispered, not trusting her voice. “I’ve been beside you for almost a decade and a half. I think you’re stuck with me at this point,” she half-joked in an attempt to lighten the mood, even the slightest bit. “I’m not going anywhere willingly. Trust me.”
