After some requests for one, I've created a Bolden mailing list. The first update goes out tomorrow with a lil' discount as a thank you - sign up here: http://www.boldenceramics.com/mailing-list
I reopened my ceramics shop yesterday - my first update of the year & of the work I've been making since moving to Canada. There are some new things alongside old favourites - go take a look: boldenceramics.com.
This one cute guy I know.
Just a guy and his cabin. Another one for this.
Ode to an old desk. This was a pretty good space, even though there was usually so much crap around that it made it harder to achieve things.
I read The First Bad Man by Miranda July. Then I did a thing.
i'm an impatient person, though i'm trying to embrace the fact that some things take time. i tried out wood carving a few weeks ago & the thing i made is still no-where near finished, so instead i drew a girl carving some wood, & the drawing is done.
then.again Sometimes I feel a bit at a loss at what to draw so, last year, I started drawing my Instagram feed in chronological order. After a bit of a hiatus due to being busy with work and moving to another continent (hello, Canada), I've recently picked it up again. It's good to have ready-made references that I can depict in new ways, and things I might usually avoid subject-wise (landscapes! cars! men!) are going to provide an interesting challenge. You can keep up by following along here.
I reopened my ceramics shop yesterday! So this photo is already out of date & I already sold a bunch of things, but I'm posting this anyway because better late than never, right? ☞ Bolden is OPEN: http://bolden.bigcartel.com
remember that lil project i mentioned? well, here it is;, a project in which i illustrate my instagram feed, then post the drawings on instagram.
• for 1,000 shop sales • for your patience with how long it takes to restock my ceramics shop • for checking out my new little project (maybe)
some tiny wild things to hide in your plants. hoping to have new things (& old favourites) in my ceramics shop soon. in the meantime, you'll find some small pots (on sale!) & a palm dish, if you like that sort of thing.
I want this blouse, so I drew it. Image used for reference (a rarity!) so definitely maybe don't view them side-by-side.
