âFuck this bullshit.â Jen was over everything at this point as she stormed out of the disco. Even with her only twenty-three years, she felt too old for this kids' party or whatever was going on in there. It was Saturday night. Everyone was out and it was actually way too early to leave. It wasnât even 1am. She was already annoyed that her friends wanted to go this early to this shit party of some whatever his face was DJ was. She was slightly drunk at this point but she didnât have to work tomorrow, thank god but sheâd have to put up with her family. She was the eldest of six siblings and she was almost glad she wouldnât have a hangover tomorrow when the youngest would literally wake up in five hours and want to play with everyone. On her way home she looked on her phone, the temperature was starting to go down so she had to tighten her coat a bit so she wouldnât get cold. Shouldnât have put on that short skirt tonight. Not worth it. She scrolled through social media a bit until she opened the app. The infamous dating app. Everyone was using it and she had to admit she even clicked through and chatted while she was with her ex. It wasnât an addiction surely it was just nice to flick through nice faces and chatting, hooking up when you were not in a relationship of course.
She fell back on her bed at home, pulling her blanket up when she begun swiping, left, left, left, left, ew left. With most of them, she didnât even take the time to actually look at their profiles but she got stuck after a little while, ignoring messages from people who didnât interest her anymore. She had a short attention span when it came to that. She looked at the picture and there was something she liked about it. Jen even managed to smile at it a bit and the profile looked nice to so she actually swiped to the right for once and wondered if he was looking at her profile now. She didnât really have anything big written on it. A couple of pictures, some partying and some of her best friend, a photographer who did a little shoot with her. They turned out really good and they didnât look as wild as the rest. Then there was no inspirational quote, she hated that shit. âSmall girl, wanting to see the big world.â Was next to her age and her job âa fucking baristaâ all that was in there.
