I know some people are rolling their eyes at the haylor of it all right now. And yeah maybe some people are looking at it through a romantic shipper lens, but for most of us it’s not like that. It comes down to the fact that we adore and admire these two beautifully talented artists who were severely mistreated for having the audacity to enjoy each other’s company. And who were clearly inspired by each other to make art from their memories. And after all that mistreatment from the media and from “fans” they’re both now in a place in their lives where they can talk to each other in public and enjoy each other’s company again. They’re happy and they’re thriving in their careers and this weight has been lifted. We love each of them and we are so happy for them to be able to just exist in each other’s presence without having to worry about people making up conspiracies, being downright sexist and inappropriate, and downright cruel anymore. It’s been 8 years and we aren’t “over it” because these are two people who should have been allowed to interact from the start because they both have beautiful hearts and enormous amounts of talent. And we are enjoying this moment for them because we are happy they’re in a place where it can just fucking happen and the earth doesn’t fall apart. And oh they both won Grammys coz they’re fucking awesome.
