The Yoon siblings had relatively average lives, until they didn't. When Jenessa was around 6 or 7, several events happened in rapid succession, causing their parents to collapse under the weight of their own stress. As if a lightswitch was flipped, they went from decent guardians to abusing their children. Jenessa and Braxton suffered the brunt of it, as Cyrus couldn'talways be around. When he was, he was his younger siblings' caretaker and protector.

Their lives continued this way with no intervention until, when Cyrus was 18, he removed himself and his siblings from the situation. After barely graduating from high-school [due to the circumstances], Jenessa took some time off to work and increase her odds of being accepted into a university program. She is currently enrolled in online classes.

Additional Notes

Jenessa doesn't like talking about what happened to her and her siblings, and hasn't sought out therapy because of this [despite Cyrus' pleas]. Unfortunately, certain patterns have been repeated in most of her interpersonal relationships.

It's hard for her to make friends because she doesn't trust easily.

She tries not to ask Cyrus for anything more than what he already provides.

She indulges in THC and prefers it in edible form. She doesn't drink at all.

I admit it. I get jealous of girls who are loved loudly & proudly by their man. The girls who never have to question where they stand, who receive flowers just because, & who are chosen every day without having to beg for it. Not because I don’t want them to have that kind of love, but because deep down, I wish someone would love me that way too. I literally never have anything going on ever....but, I know you wouldn't want me to be reckless so I won't. I can't make any promises though if me and him just so happen to cross paths for whatever reason. If you don't want your own space though, I'm always happy to have a roommate.

It is very kind of you to think I have that much game that I'm bringing someone home that often. However if that's something you're worried about it's probably much better you come live with me versus Cy and Andy...no offense to them. As far as unwinding at the end of the day I can still do that. We'll have our own rooms so we'll have our own spaces. Regardless you're not intruding Jennie. You're family that's literally impossible for us to do. Plus in a way it will save Cy some money right? He'll only have to pay for one place.
