Captain Marvel gave me everything Wonder Woman didn’t

I’ve just got back from the theater and guys, I legit want to cry. This movie is so surprisingly good I already can’t wait to hear male crybabies bitching about it. 

I’m gonna drink your tears, because Carol Danvers is here and she does not owe you anything.

When Just a Girl by No Doubt starts playing after Carol realizes her full powers and kicks the ass of every single bad guy in sight without breaking a sweat? I felt that

So because she could destroy a big ship she needs to have an achilles’ heel? Did he forget that Thor straight up survived the power of a star and came out perfectly fine? Why did he feel the need to come out and say Captain Marvel needs limitations, but not Thor. Who is also freakishly powerful. He’s had limitations put on him in his movies, but no one ever felt the need to do an interview and say, gee I really think Thor needs an achilles’ heel cause he’s just too darn strong. That’s some kind of bullshit.

They’re also going to take away everything that made her awesome, and the whole theme of Captain Marvel. She was working with limitations, people were always trying to constrain her power, and she overcame that. So now they feel the need to constrain her again because some shitty fanboys are threatened by powerful women… fucking great… this whole statement reeks. I knew it was naive hope to trust these fucking people with a female superhero.

Captain Marvel #3 was just released and it’s beautiful, very feminist and empowering as hell. It’s also written and illustrated by female artists so make sure to support it.
