Muir Wannabe

As I read about the American Conservation movement I am inclined to liken myself to John Muir, or at least my knowledge of his person. I abhor politics, I am a slow writer as I would much rather be experiencing events instead of writing about them, and as I walk around our property I am in awe of my surroundings. It is like a small piece of Heaven on earth or my own personal Garden of Eden meant for my solitary viewing. I find more beauty in a blade of grass than I do in a photograph of a actress/actor and I do not understand the need to find a use for nature. Why can we not simply let nature be just that...Nature. Call me a naturalist, purist, hippie, or, for lake of better words, weird if you will but I would much rather be in a forest with no contact with urban society than in a studio apartment on the upper Eastside any day.
