As a Peace Corps Volunteer; we are placed in developing countries. The goal of our service is to help those countries develop more sustainable practices. For me it's been helping increase the literacy rate for the students at my school; while helping expose and improve the teaching methods at my school. We are not there to give material things. However, the kids do not have a lot to do to occupy their time during break time and lunch time. So I couldn't think of a better way to help solve this problem than to partner with One World Futbols and give the school something that is so loved in this country! When I presented them to the school the kids were beyond excited that there was a ball for EACH class!!!! I had never seen such big smiles on those kids faces during break time! Not to mention the amount of kids playing together! It made my heart happy to know I help make them so happy!

Today marks 2 months until I close my service! I can't believe how time has flown by. I'm not ready to leave!!! It's hard to put into words my emotional rollercoaster. I have grown to love this country over the past two years. I would be lying if I said it was all rainbows and lollipops, but I wouldn't have changed it for the world. Life is just so simple here, makes me scared to go back to the overwhelming America. Also, I have such a wonderful family here, I am scared all that time and effort that was put into make those, the long distance will be hard maintain. But I guess I have to remind myself that everything good has to come to and end! (at Troy, Trelawny, Jamaica)
