a couple of collages i made based off of mitski’s songs ages ago. i don’t agree with the interpretation of a lot of my mitski collages or fuck w the collages themselves but these are acceptable.

first one is based off of “abbey” and the second one is based off of “happy.” the focal point in the second one of the woman swallowing herself is one of the coolest pieces of art i’ve ever seen and i hope to get it tattooed one day.

hi everyone i’m back with two pages this time! the first is a filler, something low effort just to fill up space with lyrics from mitski’s “francis forever.”

the second page is on radiohead’s “let down.” i wasn’t going to use orange but then i found that picture of the mannequin with wings and had to use it. i could’ve edited the color but decided not to.

i also zoomed in on my favorite sticker i used. it reads: “have 9 ‘total fucking meltdowns’ and get your 10th meltdown free!”

as for my interpretation of “let down”: i see it as the narrator bored with the mundanity of life. they become an adult and see everything there is to life and think “that’s it?” it’s disappointing, it’s a let down. i’ve been feeling that way a lot lately.

i love ppl who talk in the tags bc it satisfies my deep desire to know ppl’s opinions on everything without needing to have a conversation with them and ask. even better when it’s a side tangent that barely has anything to do with the post, or a personal anecdote, or a joke. tag talker mutuals you’re my favorite. tag talkers rise up

two new pages to my journal!!

first one on the left is based off of the strokes’ song “is this it.” i know the title doesn’t have a question mark, i added one anyway. color scheme comes from the album cover, i also thought it would be challenging to find good yellow stickers that weren’t happy (it was).

second one on the right is based off of the image of the person w the hair dryer and a little thing i wrote:

“if i ever get desperate enough to ask god for help, take me out back and shoot me in the head like a dog.”

the “like a dog” part was not originally apart of it, i actually only added it to add more shape to the block of text.

this one fought me and by “this” i mean my printer. it wouldn’t accept my sticker paper (it rejected three pieces of it, so now i have three pieces of sticker paper with partial stickers on it that i can’t use). seriously why do all printers suck!!! also i left my glue stick without a cap for several hours and now it’s not nearly as sticky as i need it to be.

other than that i’m happy with these.

upcoming i have a two page spread based off of one of my fav movies, two more based off of songs i like, and a filler page.

first entry for my new journal! based it off of a pic of a woman i found on pinterest and a poem i wrote.

the poem reads:

“I don’t want to take the easy way out. I don’t want God to win. I don’t want to lose. Not to God. There is more spite than blood running through my veins. It fuels me more than rage ever could. I have to win so God doesn’t.”

not happy with the poem (i could write better) and i think the font is unsuitable but i’m happy w everything else

you can’t see it super well because i put all the stickers over it but the background has teeth stickers.

you also can’t see this part super well but i did a teal outline of the woman to try something new, i actually quite like it.

i wanted it to come off as weird and out there and oversaturated.

will be posting the outside of my journal soon!

worked on my new journal today! unfortunately ran out of lace and probably will not buy more bc it’s a pain to add to paper and will probably fall off anyway.

theme is pink (my fav color) w red accents. will be adding stickers once the ink i ordered comes in tomorrow

disabled people are worth whatever cost or resources is needed to keep them alive. disabled people are worth it even if they don't live long. they're worth it even if they will need extra support and resources for every day of their life. they're worth it even if they spend all they life indoors. none of it is wasted. none of it is in vain. time, effort, money, resources spent on a life are not wasted. these things have served their purpose. the joy of someone's existence is not undermined by not lasting forever. there's no meaningful point, some threshold where you can say "okay this is enough. after that it's not worth it." it's always worth it.
