WHAT THE OTRA SETLIST COULD'VE BEEN
So OTRA has finally started and there have been lots of talks about the mediocre setlist that we have so far. Personally, I haven’t seen the boys live since EVER (I’ll see them this March!!), so I’ll probably just take what they give, even though I definitely would’ve wanted them to sing more songs from FOUR (it’s my favorite album of theirs, ok? and I’ve been making my friends listening to it and converting non-fans in the process *wink*). And besides, it’s named “On The Road Again” and not “Where We Are 2.0,” so I think it’s just right the setlist is revamped a little—or maybe a lot. Also, it was pointed out that we practically have the WWA tour on DVD, so it’s really kinda lazy on their part to just give us a repeat.
Note: I’m not putting the effort of their team down with the tour screens and all, but the fans also pay loads of money to see the boys live, right? So, as much as we love them, we’re still considered “customers.” Thus, we deserve the best show from the boys, just as much as the boys deserve credit for being actual musicians and not just a band-of-boys-with-pretty-faces.
My actual point is that, because the current setlist is frustrating in more ways than one (NO CONTROL SHOULD’VE BEEN A NON-NEGOTIABLE!), I made my own “Dream OTRA Setlist" aka what the OTRA setlist could’ve been, if I only I had a say on it at all. Note that 1) I only included songs that were already part of their past tours; 2) I included all the songs from FOUR that are already part of the actual setlist, because that’s probably how it should work. I’m trying to be realistic, I guess; and 3) I am biased with some of the songs. This is my dream setlist after all.
1. Where Do Broken Hearts Go
I started with WDBHG, because I think the way it started is the perfect way to start a show. Start slow, but not really. I imagine Niall’s voice resounding from their starting spot after the opening screens while the doors are opening. And then by the time they hit the first refrain, they can start moving around the main stage. They currently do it with mic stands, but I think they can really work the stage with this song. Better get the crowd engaged right from the get-go, right?
Why not Clouds? Well, I prefer it to be the final song. Plus, I really like how WDBHG starts.
2. Little Black Dress
3. Little White Lies
4. Better Than Words
I have these three back-to-back-to-back, because I think the opening tempo should be maintained. And I personally love singing my heart out to these songs, plus the opportunity of a “power couple strut” for LBD and the harmony between H&L in BTW is just awesome. I imagine them working the catwalk for these songs.
5. Stockholm Syndrome
The first spiel should probably happen before Stockholm, just to break the tempo a bit. I imagine they’ll be on the B Stage with mic stands now.

7. Happily
8. Strong
This is probably the best part of the current setlist and thus I’m maintaining it (even the order). I’ll probably cry over these songs, tbh. SO MUCH FEELS.
9. Don’t Forget Where You Belong
This is a must-keep even though I’ve probably memorized Niall’s spiel already from all the videos I’ve watched. There’s always room for nostalgia in any of the boys’ shows. Plus, I heard the tour screens for this song are awesome. They can maintain singing this song on the ramps.
10. Right Now
11. Through The Dark
I am biased with these songs for some reason, so I’m keeping them. :D They can also maintain singing this song with stands on the main stage.
12. Steal My Girl
Even though this is not a particular favorite from FOUR, it probably is a must-have for this tour, so I’m keeping it. Again, I’m trying to be realistic. Or something. I cannot remember how they perform this song now, but I imagine it’ll be on the catwalk.
13. You & I
I’m torn between keeping Y&I, but I decided to keep it if only for Zayn’s part. And for H&L standing next to each other. And well, it’s a good song.
14. Moments
I’m bringing back moments, because it has always been a dream to hear Louis sing his verse live. And it’s really disappointing that they took it out, because I will always want to hear this song.
15. 18
I’m letting go of Little Things in favor of 18. I love Little Things. We have lots of memories of H&L and Little Things, but 18 will probably create more H&L memories on stage, tbh. Like I don’t even think Ed writing this about them is canon.
16. Fireproof
17. Night Changes
I just need Fireproof in the setlist, okay? It’s a really good song and it’s the boys heading to the right direction in terms of musical maturity.

I’ll end the first part of the main show with a bang, of course. And what is more perfect than Girl Almighty and No Control back-to-back?

LWWY, Rock Me, One Thing, Story of My Life, Kiss You, What Makes You Beautiful
YES, A MASH-UP. They’ll just be sitting on stools on the B Stage with an acoustic guitar c/o Dan and Niall and they’ll sing these songs acoustic. Mashed up. I’ve seen BSB do it. I’ve seen Westlife and A1 and Blue do it. And it works, because we still get to hear the staple songs, but in a different way. That way, those who have been to old shows will not be bored and those who will be seeing them for the first time will still get to jam w/ these classics.
21. Best Song Ever
I just feel the need to have it here. A good transition to our finale.
22. Clouds
It will work with the fireworks. I can already see it in my mind.
