Saseongam is said to have been built in 544. Initially the hermitage was called Osanam, being positioned on mount Osan, before it was renamed Saseongam, or the Hermitage of Four Saints, in honor of the four high priests that lived, worked, and studied here (by §teve)

Truly my favourite places in Korea. The temples never get old for me. I keep feeling new feelings every time I go. These photos were taken at two different temples: Seonamsa and Hwaeomsa in the Jeolla province.
I hope they convey the calm, yet flowing feeling I get from being there.

‘THE HEART OF OLD SEOUL’ photographs by Marcus Nilsson - CNTraveler April 2014
“The old town neighborhood of Itaewon. Lotus flower goo jul pan at Dadam. Bean paste at Seoil Farm. Jogyesa Temple, built in 1938, is the center of Zen Buddhism in South Korea.” - Manny Howard
Shinheungsa Temple in Seoraksan Mountain
“Historical accounts vary as to whether this ancient Zen (Seon) temple was first constructed by Jajang in 653, first called Hyangseongsa (Temple of Zen Buddhism), or in 637 following his return from Tang China. It burned to the ground in 699, was rebuilt in 710, burned again in 1645 and was rebuilt in 1648 at its present location by Uisang. This temple is believed to be the oldest Zen (Seon) temple in the world.”

who should you fight: my muses edition
styx: dont just fight her KILL HER. TORTURE HER. RIP HER GUTS OUT AND HANG IT ON DISPLAY FROM A CLOCK TOWER. she deserves it (and more).
iseul: i mean you can try but she’ll end the fight before it starts by insulting your fashion sense and then taking you out to shop for outfits and buy bubble tea. it’s better to be friends with her she’ll splurge on you if she likes you.
mezzo: she probably deserves it but it would be like punching a baby. everyone has wanted to punch a baby in their life but would you do it tho?
soraka: NO. DO NOT FIGHT. SHE WILL SMITE YOU. just don’t. unless you’re GD or have a death wish or immortal but otherwise don’t.

"Mezzo!" Jhin chirped sweetly as she appeared behind the other, a bright smile on her face. "Did you plan something for your week off? If not do something with me! Let's go on a trip together."
The girl let out an involuntary yelp of surprise when she was sneaked up on, cheeks immediately flushed with embarrassment. Why would people do these things to an easily scared person like her?! Gods!
Stop laughing at me! She snarled inwardly at the cackling spirits. They could be so insensitive at times, she swears.
“I-I... no, I... don’t exactly have anything planned...” Mezzo sighed in relief, glad that Jhin was, at least, a familiar face and not, say, a yokai of sorts. “I suppose I don’t have a reason to say no to you, do I?”
