HORNS
Hello there! Sorry for quite the inconsistency of posting in the blog. Anyway, Christmas season is fast approaching & I'd just like to update you guys with another look backlog (lol at the sarcasm). I promise I'll be shooting a lot of new looks this month & you'll get to see more styles from the kiddo. I wanted to get over with the backlogs before the year ends so that everything will be fresh as the year goes on (and no, I am not reasoning haha).
The Lowdown: Hanes shirt; Thrifted vest & shorts; Human snapback; Casio watch; SM Dept. Store shoes
ENOUGH
I call this my "semi-formal-pero-muka-pa-din-street" outfit. This is basically my go-to look when going to school or to Church. I want to look polished yet exuding my flair but presentable still. It's a balance between comfort, ruggedness & style.
The Lowdown: Thrifted top & snapback; 7 For All Mankind jeans; SMCM shoes; Casio watch
REWIND
I always love November 'coz its a month that's filled to the brim with events & birthdays of family members. Truly, the best period of the year happens to be from Halloween up to the New Year's Eve. And now that it's happening, the adrenaline rush of how every day is going to pan out is thoroughly present. I LOVE IT. So here's an outfit post to keep you guys updated for the meantime. I swear just this week, a total of 5 birthdays of close relatives were celebrated. And there's more to come! Hahaha. Anyhow, this look was taken last year & it's been hanging out in my backlog for such a long time now I just had to let it out of the dungeon.

AWARE
I absolutely hate it whenever fake imitations of what's currently on trend suddenly sprout up & in a blink of an eye, its class appeal goes from hero to zero. This look was actually taken 8 months ago & sank more & more on my post backlog not until last week when it caught my eye again. Truth be told, I was having doubts posting it because floral caps have a "jeje" feel to it now ever since cheap imitations of it were distributed locally. But hey, if you look at the bigger picture, it's about the wearer & not what he's wearing. If you're secure of what you are, who cares what other people would say anyway? My top here is actually a pasalubong of my tita from the States. She last saw me when I was still obese 6 years ago so she bought me a size XXL. Lol so when she gave the shirt to me, she was really surprised. I then just decided to cut the sleeves so that it wouldn't go to waste.

ENCORE
It's exhilarating to find that you have a lot of free time. I am a firm believer in the saying "better busy than bored" but sometimes when you feel like a rest is well-deserved, you know it ain't a waste. Our body needs it too. And it's true that work gets more bearable & your best is much highlighted when you're recharged and good to go. This is why I've been maximizing my semestral break as much as I can. I didn't quite make plans for it but it's turning out to be exciting 'coz random events keep popping out like mushrooms! If there's a time I would allot to take care of meeting up with friends, shopping til I can't spend no more & eating my heart out, it would definitely be during no classes. When it's school time, I really make sure that I focus on my craft & avoid necessary disturbances as possible. (Just a wacky shot 'coz in the middle of the shoot, the rain suddenly went down on us. Hahaha!)

CREEP
How are you guys doing? I am currently on my sembreak & it feels nothing but good. It's been years since I last felt the comfort of havin sembreaks (in Mapua before, we were close to not having any free days AT ALL). Hahaha! Talk about liberation. It actually feels like high school again though. And so, having two free weeks in front of me, I've been engaging in a lot of running errands for my elders. When moving a lot, I like to keep everything really comfy and easy breezy. Just a light piece of inner wear like a tank top or a shirt then I usually just carry with me a cardigan or a button-don shirt in case I need to go to the mall or meet up with friends after. I also bring a snapback or a bowler hat with me during times of laziness on tending to my hair.

PAROXYSM
All black everything seems to be the trend nowadays. From the top to the pants to the shoes, even to every bit of accessories: one must be in the darkest hue to be able to jump in the bandwagon. Personally speaking though, as much as I love dark clothing pieces, I think it'd be healthier if the monotony is broken once in awhile. Patterns and statements are, for me, one of the best go-to choices in order to achieve a well-off, well-thought look. Usually, I tend to resort to DIY by cutting out bold words from printed media & sticking it to practically anything-- case in point.

WHERE
Layering has been a favorite styling thing of mine due to the fact that the climate has constantly erratic changes nowadays. Going to school, I have a problem of not getting a heatstroke. On the way home however, I have a problem of not getting soaked in the torrential rain. It never fails to annoy me. The bipolar weather is testing Filipinos' weather defense skills! Another way of keeping up with this is to bring headwears with you (snapbacks, fedoras, bowler hats, beanies, etc). Regardless of the temperature, you are assured of extra protection + an added punch to your outfit.

THE LEADERS
If there are things that I'm truly passionate about & I can confidently say that I am really good at, one of those would have to be fanboying. I am a fan of a lot of artists but nothing beats harder than my YG Family heart. For those living under a rock, YG Entertainment is one of the biggest entertainment companies in Korea (read here). I have been a YG stan for 5 years now. It all started when 2NE1, the group that got me into K-pop, debuted back in 2009. Ever since then, I did eveything I can to be updated about its entirety (artists, performances, trainees, et al). One of the entries in my bucketlist is to be able to attend a YG Family concert. I know that's a farcry from my current disposition right now (heck, I still have a hard time going out with my friends regularly) but y'know what they say, nothing is impossible for a crazed fan. Hahaha! In fact, I've been so excited that I can't wait any longer for the concert merch... so I did the extra effort to print one myself!

STEREOTYPES
My head's in a daze these past few days. You know the feeling of wanting to do a lot of things but you have a lot of things you need to do & everything's just so jaded & crazy & confusing? yES? yES. Hahaha. Crazy kiddo is crazy. Oh well. Here's an outfit post to keep you guys updated. I promise I'll be back & sane next week or so. :) xx

NUTELLA
I eat bread a lot. My breakast typically comprises of it + a cup of milk/coffee depending on my current disposition. Recently, in the name of healthy living, I've been eating some bread also during lunch or dinner in exchange of rice. To cut it all short, mahilig ako sa tinapay! So imagine how I reacted when my tito brought us a huge jar of Nutella & two containers of Speculoos peanut butter as a pasalubong. Now I'm not gonna be a hypocrite & act as if we have all the money in the world to buy these whenever feel like it. Hell-o! Nutella costs like gold (okay, exag) here in the Philippines!

YES I'M HIM
Lately, I've been getting totally inspired by various Asian bloggers whose photos are on Instagram. I love how their choices result to something uniquely dauntless yet still very put-together. Look! It's even got me going for a half-mask (which is completely DIY btw). I don't really think looking up to foreigners betrays the whole nationalistic thing. Hello wake up! It's 2014-- time for a change of ideologies. And when you think about it, we're all humans. No need for labels. Heck, Im a legit Asian anyway. Ain't nobody got time fo oldie beez.

INCOGNITO
It's been awhile since I last wore jeans! Hahaha. I kinda missed the feeling of denim scratching my legs. But one thing's for sure– classics are forever. This pair of jeans I received from Energie may be a lot more expensive than the typical; but they sure do make up for comfort & durability! I've been getting quite busy with school stuff these past days– projects, exams & whatnot. A not-so-fair share of stress comes with that obviously. That's okay though. It's clear from the get-go that my education is top priority. I know the time will come for me to focus on my craft & all. I believe all great things happen at the right time. KIDDO FIGHTING!!

CREAVIVITY
I have always considered creativity as relative. I don’t know but I just completely disagree with the common notion that creativity is laxly measured by how good you are in sketching & conjuring up drawings & such. Somehow, I see creativity as a vague aspect that encompasses a plethora of brilliant gauges—style, cooking, sewing, performance, design and the list goes on & on. I am so happy with this sweater! I could not agree more. Think about it. How can one fully embrace his creative consciousness if he/ she is afraid to take risks? It’s such a simple passage but if you give it a thought, it actually makes a lot of sense.
