“Doesn’t mean who you love loves you back. Is that true love, then?” He squinted, shaking his head. “Fuck, this is getting too deep for me.” Marcel laughed. Not an amused laugh, but one that expelled frustration along with it.
“What would you do if you went elsewhere?”
“If it’s unrequited love? I don’t consider that true love in the slightest,” Jeremiah murmured, idly glancing over at Marcel. “I think that either it happens or it doesn’t. You could spend your whole life looking for true love. Some people are lucky and get it. Some people think they have it, but they don’t. Some never find it. If things don’t work out, then maybe you just haven’t found your true love yet. But you run the risk of losing everything and still never find true love.” He grinned at Marcel before leaning back in his chair. “How’s that for deepness?”
“I dunno. Make a new life for myself or something. It’d be no different than here, I guess, but at least I’d have a chance of actually feeling something.”
