The Hawksbill’s shell is valuable to humans, which has negatively affected its population. Another threat is habitat loss and the destruction of coral reefs. It is estimated that there are 20,000-23,000 nesting females left. The Hawksbill lives about 30-50 years, and weighs 100-150 pounds.

The Bornean Orangutan is classified as critically endangered, with its main threat being habitat loss. This orangutan species’ population is about 104,700 in total, with 54,500 left in the wild. The Bornean’s lifespan is 35-45 years in the wild.

This is the Red Wolf. This wolf species is native to North America. Its population in the wild is now only in North Carolina, but it used to range from Pennsylvania down to Texas. Today, there are around 200 Red Wolves in captivity, and only 40 in the wild. This species population is critically endangered, mainly due to habitat loss. The Red Wolf lives from 6-7 years, and weighs between 45-80 pounds.

This is the Amur Leopard. This extremely endangered animal lives in China and Russia. The current population size in the wild is estimated to be 84 individuals. This leopard has faced many threats such as poaching, poaching of prey species, and deforestation leading to habitat loss.
