“Weirdly? Needles and shots don’t bother me.” Sophie said. “It is more so like… when I sprain a wrist or when they made us do that awful wrestling unit in gym when they twist your arm the wrong way. As soon as I can tell something is gonna hurt, I am done. I am done before the pain even starts because I know I don’t do pain well.” Taron called it self preservation instincts, Sophie called it just being very, very, unfond of pain. “I guess having only two brain cells would do that… it would make most brain function a little difficult.” Sophie grinned, following the boy back towards his car.
“Huh,” he observed, nodding slowly as they strolled up towards his black BMW. “This is me,” he gestured to the passengar side door, opening it for her with a grin. “Well, that gym unit sounds stupid - when are you going to wrestle someone in real life, anyways?” He shrugged, turning towards her as he started the ignition. “Yeah, but I manage to make it through life,” he laughed. “So - where am I headed?” He turned towards her, looking for directions. “Oh - and I’m Jeremy, by the way.”
