Noelle had found out the biggest news of her lifetime, or so she thought. She was utterly freaked out by it. Her father was not in fact her father at all. Since finding out the information she had not told a single soul yet. She still needed to confront her parents about it. But when that letter came in the mail from the bank talking about a large fund in her name from James Daniels, she quickly figured it out. She was happy that holiday break was over and now she could be in school getting away from her parents so she could have some space to think. She stood mindlessly by her locker, deep in thoughts. She finally came too after someone was trying to get her attention. “What/- I’m sorry I wasn’t paying attention.”

Antonio was in the band room during his free period. He was a little stressed. The holiday season was always a bit more stressful on Ant and his mom as they tried to pull enough money together for his younger siblings. It was a weaker christmas this year. Less presents then usual for the youngings. So Antonio sat there beating hos frustrations away on the drums. The sounds of his beats escaped the room loudly. Antonio was lost in the music though, looking up for a moment to see someone there shouting for him. He pulled out his headphones. “Sorry, was it a bit loud? Did you like it though?”

Asher spend break leading up to Christmas eve with his mom and Christmas day till New years eve with his dad only to switch back to his mom on new years day. It was Monday and School was back open and those five days at his fathers house were to much. That was the longest he had spent at his fathers in a long time and it was ample time for his dad’s boyfriend to get away with what he wanted. Asher sat in the classroom, starring out the window. The teacher threw him ou of class for not paying attention and mouthing off so now he was roaming the halls. He had so much on his mind. “What are you doing out of class?” Asher asked as he saw a familiar face in the hallway.

there was rarely a day that went by that stella didn’t have some kind of errand to run for either herself or to help out a member of her family. today she was burdened with having to make some returns for her mom. as if running into and out of different stores, waiting in line, and hearing the sales associate groan at the idea of a return, stella had run into some more bad luck. as she exited the last store, relieved to be done with the annoying task, she stopped at her car and after searching her pockets and her purse, realized that her keys were no where to be found. though she knew it was locked she tried the door anyway, but she always manually locks it, out of habit. a moment later, she spots her keys. on the passenger seat. groaning, the cheerleader ran her hands through her hair letting out a scoff at herself. “just my luck.” glancing as someone approached she painted on the smile she had mastered over the years. “yes. unfortunately it’s exactly what it looks like. Chase was sitting down at the local coffee shop doing his homework when he was joined by a friend. “Hey” he said as he moved his bag off the chair, “so please tell me you heard something great recently” said Chase, his gossip well was all too dry. He felt like nothing big had happened … at least publicly in a while. Monty was at his favorite local pizza place, picking up his order when he saw someone from school. “Thanks” he said to be polite enough to the person working behind the counter and put a tip in the jar before facing the other student. “Munchies get you too?” he asked, and if they hadn’t then he could offer to sell if they weren’t a total narc. Kiran let out a sigh as he picked up a book from the cart and placed it in the designated spot on the shelf. He was, yet again, in detention for pissing off a teacher. What a shocker. This time, the students had to put back this week’s returned library books back on the shelf. He turned to the other student that was working on the same cart as him, “Can you work a little quicker? I’m not trying to be here all day because of you.” he said with a dead expression, though his tone showed that he was clearly annoyed. “I don’t usually see you in these.” he added in, whether it was the truth or not. Kiran didn’t actually take notice at who was in detentions with him. “Why are you here anyways?”

“I can’t believe christmas is so close.” Noelle said with a big smile. She was also excited because it was also her 18th birthday. Her parents always told her she was their gift that year. Though it was a bit rough sometimes, having her birthday clouded by such a big holiday but her parents always tried to make it special for her. “Are you excited? I know I am, my favorite holiday right there. I call it my Christ-day, because It’s also my birthday.”

Wren was out Christmas shopping for some last minute presents when he ran into someone from school at the store, “Hey, you forget to buy something too?” he asked with a friendly smile. “The holidays always get crazy for me, between exams and then Hanukkah and then Christmas? “They are having a murder mystery movie marathon at the theatre tonight. We should go.” Chaya suggested. It was a Friday night, and there was nothing in White Lake that seemed more exciting than that for the evening. Then again, Chaya was always down for a good murder mystery. “Or if murder mysteries aren’t your thing, I’m sure that there is something else playing we could watch.”
