I’m absolutely in love with Jehan’s character design from "To the Friends of L’heure Bleue"!
I made some mini versions of him :) 💘🎀
(And now I have to make outfits for them)
Have you checked out 「ルールブルーの友らへ」 “To the Friends of L'Heure Bleue” yet?
As a fan of this Japanese web manga, which brings the ABC’s Friends from Les Misérables to life, I wanted to share that you can still read the first four chapters online for free! But hurry—once it’s released as a printed volume, these chapters will no longer be available on the web.
If you’re outside of Japan, now’s your chance to read before the print version becomes hard to get. There’s no confirmation yet whether it’ll be available for international shipping, so don’t miss out!

Ahh I saw this but didn’t know it would be taken down!! Do you know if there’s anyway people can buy it even if we don’t live in the same country as the author? Is there anyway to ask the author about the possibility of getting digital copies for international people? I would really love to have a copy until I can find someone to translate it…but the language barrier prevents me from reaching out to the author XD.
A lot of non-Japanese people in our discord server (including a couple of people who speak/read Japanese but don’t live in Japan) have even really excited about this
I reached out to the author to ask about availability for overseas readers. The author, 榮恵愛 (AKI), kindly responded, and I wanted to share her message!💌
Although nothing is fully confirmed yet, the free web version will remain available until the print release on October 8th. After that, the first few chapters might still be accessible, and it’s expected that at least the first one or two chapters will remain available for access indefinitely. ※However, the web version may be updated to reflect changes made for the printed edition.
❗️For those outside Japan, Amazon Japan should offer international shipping for the physical copy! Additionally, the digital version will be released on Kindle, and while it’s not available yet, it seems likely that it will be accessible internationally.
Please note that all versions will be in Japanese.

As for an official translation, it’s still undecided, but the author is working hard to make the work more accessible. If you’d like to show your support, leaving comments on the website would be a great way to help! Your voices really do make a difference and can encourage future international accessibility.
The author is deeply grateful for the support from international fans!! She’s even considering posting updates on platforms like Instagram or Tumblr to make it easier for everyone to stay informed. ❤️
I hope this helps, and thank you again for your continued enthusiasm for this wonderful series!

Thank you so much for loving this manga with us despite the language barrier! I’ve reached out to the author on X to ask if there will be any way for international fans to enjoy the manga after the print release. I’ll share any updates if I get a response🤝❣️
Also, there’s no need to write in Japanese—please feel free to leave a comment on the web serialization page in your own language. The publisher reads all the comments, and if they see messages from international fans, it’ll help them recognize the global audience! This could encourage them to consider a translated version or even offer it for sale online.
