long time no- goatlings died!

if you look back in my tags you can see the day I signed up/made my first goat, about 11 years ago. Actually very close to the exact day of the eventual shutdown. It would have been ironic if it made it one more year to hit year of the goat but eh

I made a picture for my goat Korn's final onsite birthday.

ofc it won't be his last ever picture, he's one of my characters I draw pretty often. He's also not overly tied to the site, more part of my neopets stories (he's cousin to my ixi, Pal). His site going down is fitting in a way since he's a dead/missing guy in the narrative...

I was rarely active on goatlings itself for better or worse. I spent a lot of time battling, but fell off when Korn's level was in the late 80s. I never submitted any content and entered maybe one seasonal event in a decade 🙃 I wasn't up to date with stuff behind the scenes which is probably 'for the better'

I did dump goat art on the forums and take a commission every 3-4 years. These are some of the final randoms

If you're wondering about my other goats... there are none. I only ever made Korn and he's been an Aries AD since the week I signed up because I have brain problems. that itself is pretty nostalgic to me

final note. was there ever another goat that was posed with all 4 feet on the ground like that? 🤔

I tried flight rising again for a few months this year. Was alright but my will to look at the game halved every time I saw the word dodge in the coliseum. From what I’ve seen this cannot be improved no matter how much you invest?

So just to recap yesterday on Neopets a new plot started which included an entire land going grey and Skarl turning into the definition of a sopping wet meow meow. there was originally a bunch of dialogue on the hub page that was broken and had characters talking to themselves which was then removed less than an hour after it went live. the hub page has the end prize shop visible already, except the prize shop has a bunch of very valuable old items in it so naturally there are a bunch of 1%ers fighting about it on the boards and complaining about how they can't lord items over other players anymore. and to top it all off TNT just dropped this thing on us with no warning
