Jerome had heard that the Killick child came with the rest of Durmstrang and was around the school. He was inclined not to believe it since he never sees her around but after hearing the gossip of a girl scaling the side of the castle while swearing like a trooper had lead him to believe that the rumours were right. When she had first transferred to Durmstrang he had caught the tail end of a fight between her and a few other students and she left without a scratch unlike the other kids. Calla Killick was an odd category. She was much too spontaneous and reckless for her own good but that also seemed to work in her favour. People couldn’t predict with her and that suited Jerome and his plans. 

“Calla.” he called out to the student when he spotted her in the distance and waited for her to come over to him.

   Mason had an incredible amount of respect for Jerome. He bowed his head and nodded, “Of course, my apologies.” 

The kid had manners, Jerome would give him that. “I don’t want your apologies. I want you to get focused and learn this otherwise I’ll personally prevent you from sitting the exam. No student of mine has ever sat that exam and failed and it’s not starting now.”

“Boring is one word that has never applied to you” she smiled warmly “You may joke about Jareth but I know he’s your favourite family member, not counting myself and the kids” she teased “And Granma Carrow is a lovely woman who always has the time for us even when you’re in one of your moods” Emilia pointed out with a smirk “You have never looked terrible a day in your life and you know it.” She couldn’t help but laugh at her husbands attempt to be humble and shook her head “Anything to make fun of each other. Typical brothers” she smiled rolling her eyes. Her vision settled on his. Her ocean eyes meeting his glacial gaze. It was a quiet moment between them. Peaceful and intimate, like the rest of the world has chosen to step out of the room. “That woman still has her work cut out with you both and adding the kids into it should surely earn her a sainthood” Emilia watched her daughter and son run slightly ahead of them playing a game of tag and she felt a smile break on her face. She took her husbands hand and strolled down the corridor after the kids, their youngest still in her other arm “They’ve been behaved, but as usual isabella and charlie have an argument and then two minutes later they’re best friends again. when they figure out that they can punch each other then you’re dealing with that” she joked and gave his hand a squeeze.

“How I managed to win you over I’ll never know” he said, taking in the vision that was his wife. “Never say that out loud, if he overhears that his ego is going to be a nightmare to deal with.” he joked “Yes, yes I know, but she’s such a pain. She dotes on everyone too much” he huffed, knowing that there was no arguing when it came to Granma Carrow. “Says Emilia Carrow of all people. the woman that puts The Louvre to shame in terms of beauty” he laughed at her appearing humble. “You should be more concerned when the day comes that we don’t make fun of each other. We’re brothers, it’s an unwritten rule.” Jerome shrugged never thinking anything wrong with Jareth and himself taking the piss out of each other all the time “A sainthood?” he asked, thinking it over “Actually the more I think about it she probably should get some sort of sainthood or something” he laughed and gave her hand a squeeze “It’s only a matter of time until the punching begins. I’ll deal with the punching if you deal with the magic when it starts to show? Deal” he smirked. Parenting with Emilia came so naturally to him that it always shocked him. He didn’t think he’d ever fall into the family lifestyle until he met Emilia and then he never looked back. “We have three of them Mia...Three kids and I wouldn’t change a damn thing”

he poured himself a glass of brandy from among the various bottles on his brother’s side table, taking his time as he swirled it around the glass, thoughts just as clouded as the liquid’s hue. “ they’re getting antsy. ”

Joining his brother in having a drink, Jerome poured himself a whiskey and back to his chair behind his desk. “They’re always antsy. Patience is not their strong suit” he sighed, taking the opportunity to light up. “Timing is everything”

A smile played on her lips while her eyes brushed closed at the feeling of her husband pressing his lips to her forehead “do you want to talk about it?” she asked, giving his hand a squeeze with her free hand before removing a piece of dust from his suit “ and you look dapper as always.” she smiled “yes, let’s go. i don’t want to be late to the family gathering and the kids will be hungry” Emilia laughed at her son getting up to mischief “Like father, like son. He definitely takes after you with the troublemaking you know. There’s a high possibility that Jayden and him will be like Jareth and yourself. A two point zero version of you both” she pointed out with a laugh and headed out the room, waiting for her husband to follow.

“Perhaps later, I don’t want to bore you to tears and you’ve had your hands full with three tiny terrors, you deserve a break” he said looking down at his suit while she picked the speck of dust off “My brother can do bore you to tears or worse Granma Carrow” he joked “Thank you, it would be a crime to look terrible next to you. I suppose, I’m sure they’d all love to wind us up about that” Jerome looked at his wife in pure awe. He had never and would never love anyone in his life the way he loved her. “God you’re It was all consuming to him. His eyes shifted to take in his three children. His kids were a different kind of love, the protective and dedicated love a parent would have for their kids. “A mini duo of Jareth and I? Then Merlin help Granma Carrow is all I can say because that woman will have her work cut out for her” he laughed and locked his classroom door behind them. Jerome placed his daughter back on her feet to join her brother while they all walked to their dinner “How have they been since you picked them up from the sitter?”

“Would it be okay if I borrowed a book or two from your collection?” Dmitri cut to the chase. Had it been another professor, he might have risked breaking into their office for the reading material he sought.

“Depends what books Dmitri, you know that most of these books are suitable for student reading. What kind of books are you looking for?”

“ not even time for your own brother ? ” he stated, stepping into the older carrow’s office. “ i’m terribly sorry about the timing. but i’m here to talk business before we head off for the night. ”

“Ah Jareth, do take a seat. Help yourself to a drink” he said as he was signing some paperwork “It’s fine. Business should be discussed away from the dinner table. What’s business is on the table this evening?”

“Calm down Jer, it’s only me” she laughed at her husband being in such a rush “I thought we’d stop by and meet you. Some people, particularly three tiny terrors have been wanting to see you” Emilia smiled, stepping aside to let her two eldest kids run in to greet their dad while she held onto their youngest.

Before he looked up from his paperwork on his desk his legs were tackled by two of his kids. He grinned at the children and ruffled his sons hair before picking up his little girl. Jeromes head turned to gaze at the woman in the doorway and there she was, that remarkable wife of his with their third pride and joy in her arms. “Ignore me, people haven’t exactly been of help today.” he apologised and crossed the room to place a kiss on her forehead “You look divine Mia. Shall we head to this dinner?” Jerome asked, placing his hand at the small of her back “Charlie my boy, don’t touch that and let’s go” Jerome called to the little boy whos curiosity was getting the better of him. At Jeromes call the boy came running over and stood by his side ready to go. “After you my love”

“Jerome, charming as ever,” Jonathan chuckled as he looked up from the papers and glanced at the other. “Next year when McGonagall asks me to stay here as a professor, smack me in the head and tell me to go back to the aurors office, will ya?” He may have sounded like he was joking but in reality, the first month of working as a teacher kicked his arse more than 15 years of being an auror and sometimes he wished he had not taken the job instead of just being an auror patrolling Hogwarts. “Yeah, you’re right… do you fancy a drink?”

“You know me, a charming lad” he said dryly. “You got it. A smack on the skull and send you packing back to the aurors office. I’ll pencil that in the schedule for you” he smirked. Jerome would admit, it took him a while to warm up to Jon but now he’s considered family “Jonathan, there is never a moment I don’t fancy a drink. So let’s go get one. Where’s my brother, is he on the babysitting duties this evening?”

I suggest that you support your sister as she will be looking for support during this time. Plus as far at these tournaments go, she’s going to need all the support and luck she can get. Professor Karkaroff won her Triwizard tournament, may be best to bother her about all of this”

would you guys accept your kids here or are they too young?

ooc; i’m not sure. it would depend on what age the characters kids are. if the kids are old enough to be in school then it’s a possibility, but you would have to discuss that with the mun(s) of whatever kid you’re looking to apply for as it would have to be discussed and they may have plans. 

if you’re specifically meaning my characters kids then i would have to discuss that with @emiliacarrow as that decision would have to be made by the both of us and if we were to agree to having someone apply, we would want to speak to the person applying before any final decisions were made.

Raising a toddler as a single father in a massive castle definitely had its hardships. Jeremy couldn’t look away for barely a moment before Danielle was already latching onto someone’s leg.

Immediately Jeremy’s cheeks flush red, bending down to pick up his daughter who is insistent on remaining locked to the other’s leg, “Dani!” Before looking at the other with sympathy, “Sorry…I guess the Princess likes you.” He says as he presses a kiss on his daughter’s head before picking her up and resting her upon his hip.

Jerome was making his way to the Great Hall to meet his wife and kids when he felt something hit his leg. When he looked down he spotted a small toddler clinging to him while her father was trying to pry her away “It’s quite alright Jeremy, I’ve got three of my own so I can both relate and sympathise”
