Alone at last. It took several hours from Moynihan station to Union station before I could stretch my calves and flick my feet up and down, circling my toes in the lower altitude of this train seat. The low bid paid off currying me favor with the highspeed rail algo gods all while i still get to my destination at the same time as the family of seven two cars back but i can remain calmly still in the library vibe audio levels of this train car. Rolling through Virginia as the sun sets and the grounds are matted with shimmering snow . A snow which acts like an atlantic coast sized tendon tighting up and curving forward the backs of men and women clutching their lapels getting to their cars.
Monuments and white coated fields, trees and ponds, frozen rivers, post-holed walking trails, overpasses, cottages, suburban arrays of plastic sided homes crowding each other.
Escaped work under poor connectivity but managing to transpose this scribble onto the screen. I enjoyed the fifteen minutes in D.C when the car went completely dark and everyone emptied out except for me. Richmond is another hour but looks so close on the map. Gwarbar.
