Market Harbinger Institute LLC

Financial professional Jesse Webb co-founded the investor training company, Market Harbinger Institute LLC, which maintains headquarters in Lehi, Utah. Named after a prophet in the Book of Mormon, Lehi provides a wonderful town in which to work, and Jesse Webb enjoys his surroundings immensely.

Located about 20 miles south of Salt Lake City and 12 miles north of Provo, this small town boasts its own Chamber of Commerce and plenty of things to do and see. The oldest railroad in Utah, The Historic Railroad Station, serves as an interesting attraction, as do Camp Floyd in Fairfield; Broadbent, the oldest privately owned American department store; the Pony Express and Stagecoach Inn; the John Hutchings Museum of Natural History; and Lehi Roller Mills, one of a handful of operating American flourmills that is family-owned. Lehi Roller Mills gained fame when it was featured in the film Footloose as star Kevin Bacon’s workplace.

Family fun can be had at Lehi Legacy Center, which features an aquatic center and other activities, and Thanksgiving Point, which provides museums, theaters, gardens, and shops, as well as venues for events. Thanksgiving Point also serves as the location for Lehi’s annual Scottish Festival as well as Highland Games and its Tulip Festival. The Jordan River Parkway provides a scenic path from Utah Lake to the Great Salt Lake for walkers, joggers, and bikers. More than 240 acres of green space and parks exist in Lehi, as well as 10 miles of trails. Each spring, the city puts on a library fundraiser that includes fun and entertainment. In addition, spring brings an Easter egg hunt celebration to Lehi that features games, food, and an unusual egg hunt in the pool. Lehi’s Arbor Day Event takes place the last weekend of April and includes a giant pumpkin contest, and the Old Folks’ Party, held at Lehi High School, provides fun for those 60 and older.

Arts in the Park, presented by The Lehi City Arts Council, takes place from June through August, and each Independence Day, fireworks abound at Thanksgiving Point. Every fall, Lehi sponsors a Halloween party at the Legacy Center as well as Lehi Trail Day and Lehi Family Week. Winter fun includes the Green Eggs & Ham Breakfast, held at the Lehi-Rippy Literacy Center, which serves as a fundraiser to help the center purchase computers and supplies for its ESL, math, and reading programs. Almost nine decades later, the book remains one of the most popular works of fiction among investors and finance professionals, offering invaluable insight into investment history and the techniques of previous investors. Reminiscences of a Stock Operator offers the modern investor with a range of investment tactics relevant to contemporary markets. Livermore began his career in New England in the early 1900s, amassing (and losing, in turn) several fortunes. His life reveals the cyclical nature of the market, which remains a valuable lesson for any investor. Initially experiencing success in New England’s bucket shops and day trading posts, Livermore later ventured into market speculation, creation, and manipulation. The book bluntly addresses the factors that contributed to each of his successes and failures, providing a valuable tool for investment professionals of any generation. This trading strategy helps investors assess the momentum of a given stock in order manage risks. The strategy works for both long- and short-term investors, who can purchase towards the beginning of an upward trend and then hold the stock until the trend begins to reverse.
