Life cycle
5 days without a cigarette. I got this
To You
Where did you go?
Wake up from this dream.
This life you live is delusion…
When I speak to you, I speak to me,
Because separateness is not the solution.
See, we humans have come to this place and this time,
And our world is running ramped with hate and with crime.
I know so many, so quick to say
that the problem is coming, from the other way.
But I surely must ask, to those that point fingers,
is blame the reaction we should choose to let linger?
If each one of us, is a part of this whole
Then let us put patience and love as our goal
That means the answer lies right here with us
And to see the world change will take patience and trust
I've got this feeling that some humans are lost and if we don't show them love
then we'll pay the cost
I know that we all have a story of pain,
One close to home, no one story the same.
The unique experience that each of us face, is the story that connects us to the whole human race
See, there are some traits that are shared among us as humans.
There's some feelings, some thoughts, don't you say?
See, often I find that we all know of pain,
Yet so many I see shut it out; it will fade.
But I just have to ask, "Are you seeing bright changes?"
Or is this the call to grab hands with our neighbors?
It looks to me like our time has come,
To speak out, ask tough questions
You know, pain it is common, and so is fear,
But do we suffer quite as deep, when others are near?
If we're fulfilling a purpose and spreading great love,
The suffering can end, fly away like a dove.
I think it's important for each one to know,
That we never walk this world fully alone.
There are others who have the same feelings inside,
And if we all take a hand then we'll all serve as guides.
The pain in the world can end here with us.
It takes joy, it takes faith, it takes love, it takes trust.
Walk with me please, we'll carry love in our hearts,
From the moment we wake, the loving will start.
And what an even more beautiful world this will be,
When the loving starts here with you and with me.
When the love fills the air and we let go of pain,
That is what humans, truly can gain.

Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Intentional Community:
Ever think about chucking it all, finding a group of like-minded people, and creating a community that aligns with the way you really want to live? Yeah, we’ve all considered that… and a few of us, here and there, have actually acted on the impulse. My trips up to Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage have demonstrated to me that this isn’t just a fantasy: there are people successfully building communities based in share values. But how do you find out about these places, and the methods they’ve used to build something sustainable?
For many, the Fellowship for Intentional Community has served as the starting point for learning about groups focused on “[striving] together with a common vision.” Whether you’re thinking of starting (or just experiencing) an ecovillage on rural land, or a cohousing community in the city, the Fellowship (or FIC) serves as a repository of information gathered from many efforts to create living opportunities outside of the norm. Poke around their website a bit, and you’ll discover..

TAOISM:
TAOISM (also known as Daoism) is a Chinese philosophy attributed to Lao Tzu (c. 500 BCE) which contributed to the folk religion of the people primarily in the rural areas of China and became the official religion of the country under the Tang Dynasty. Taoism is therefore both a philosophy and a religion. It emphasizes doing what is natural and “going with the flow” in accordance with the Tao (or Dao), a cosmic force which flows through all things and binds and releases them.
The philosophy grew from an observance of the natural world, and the religion developed out of a belief in cosmic balance maintained and regulated by the Tao. The original belief may or may not have included practices such as ancestor and spirit worship but both of these principles are observed by many Taoists today and have been for centuries.
Taoism exerted a great influence during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 CE) and the emperor Xuanzong (reigned 712-756 CE) decreed it a state religion, mandating that people keep Taoist writings in their home. It fell out of favor as the Tang Dynasty declined and was replaced by Confucianism and Buddhism but the religion is still practiced throughout China and other countries today.

If you were far out in space, you would see that the sun neither rises nor sets, but that it shines continuously. And yet, even after realizing that, we can continue to speak of the sunrise or sunset, still see its beauty, paint it, write poems about it, even though we now know that it is a relative rather than an absolute truth.
