“What’s going on here? Something you wouldn’t recognize. It’s called love.”
Spirited Away (2001) dir. Hayao Miyazaki
Haku, I’ve just remembered something. I think it might help you...when I was little, I dropped my shoe into a river. When I tried to get it back, I fell in. I thought I would drown, but the river carried me to shore. The river’s name was the Kohaku River. I think that was you! And your real name is Kohaku River!
What is the hardest thing about being a famous photographer that no one would really know?
1. Loneliness. It happens more than you think. I spend a good amount of time alone at my computer editing videos or photos. While I do travel often, it still doesn’t fill that void. Sometimes I’d just love to have a convo with someone for like an hour about literally anything. I feel like I’m pretty simple lol but anyway, I’m learning to manage that better + keeping active/busy. I’m very fortunate to be doing what I do so I try to make the best of everything.
2. People acting different around me when they hear about my youtube subscriber amount. I get anxiety showing people my instagram because I don’t know what their reaction will be. Will they change how they treat me? It’s not even like I’m super famous by any means either. I don’t think that at all.
I remember one time I was talking to this guy that I was trying to get to know, and then mid-conversation my friend brought up my youtube channel and had to mention the amount of subscribers I had - and I was like NOOOOOO why did.you.do.thatttttt.
That guy’s demeanor changed, and topic of conversation quickly turned to Youtube, how I have so many subscribers, etc. and after that I just...felt like...okay....great, this is not what I wanted to talk about. Yeah. Everything immediately shifted.
I know my friend did not have bad intentions and they were just proud of my accomplishments.
Deep down I think maybe that’s why people don’t truly get to know me, they watch a video and think they know who I really am ...? Idk. Maybe they see I’m verified and think, oh, no use in getting to know her she’s verified or .... maybe I’m overthinking this lol
3. Oh another thing, I don’t like when people tell me I’m ‘famous’ or ‘popular’ because I truly don’t think I am. (not directed at you!! promise!! you’re sweet for asking this)
I honestly don’t want to be famous. I like to walk into a place and blend in, like I do now. I just want to make a comfortable living. Making videos on Youtube makes me so happy. I love, LOVE!! meeting all my viewers and those who support me. That’s why I do it.
4. Thinking someone was your real friend...but they just wanted more followers / you to tag them on instagram / be in one of your youtube videos or some other shit lol yes this has happened. Bent over backwards for my friends but when I was in the hospital or something bad happened, no one asked how I was doing. Silence. You only hear from people when your youtube channel is doing well.
One thing I won’t ever forget was when my grandma passed this year....only a few people checked up on me. That was such a sad time for me. Still not over it. And you know what? I remember every single person who sent me a message about it. Only ONE of my friends called me. ONE. FRIEND. From FRANCE. She called me and listened to me cry for an hour and consoled me. She doesn’t even live in the USA and she made time to call me with the time difference. With all the subscribers and followers you’d probably think otherwise...right?
Soooo yeah, that’s it....and thank you for your question. Sorry this was so long, I used to have a blog when I was younger where I wrote out my whole life and feelings and I haven’t had that opportunity to do so in a while. So this was nice ^_^
How old are you?
Just turned 30. Don’t feel like it. At all.
How do you feel about photographers making “BOOK ME!!” posts? I see them all the time in Facebook, and it always feels like a desperate move 😓
I personally wouldn’t do that but I don’t judge others for doing what they feel is best for them. There are many different ways people do business, wouldn’t necessarily say there is a right or wrong way.
When are u doing the next episode of 4 photographers shoot the same model? I lovveee it!
No idea. Nothing has been planned yet....kinda been stressing about that to be honest. Not sure what to do from here. Doing everything on my own has been really difficult. Always wish I had some extra help...
How long does it take you to edit
Couple hours depending on the set of photos and how much I like them. I’d say I spent like 30-45 mins for every photo. I should probably keep track..
Tell is about your love life !!!
Wish there was something to tell, haha. Sorry to disappoint :/
Are you single?

Do you have a song you listen to everyday?a song that always picks you up
