I travel the world for work, but in my off time, I explore the places I am in. Here is what I have found so far.

Next stop, Rainy London Town!

I have been fortunate enough to spend some time in London, and I must say I love it a little more each time I am there. Such a nice, livable place to be, even if it rains more than is should. There is nice architecture, and plenty to do, even on a budget. I will at some point tell you more, but the next couple of installments will be called, “London on Almost No Sleep”, as that was the experience of this particular trip, and the pictures may reflect that.

Here, I was focusing on some of the details of London, looking a little closer.

And while I was admiring ducks, a man told me there was a duck that had adopted another ducks young. It was unclear why, but she was looking after her own as well, and had maybe 30 ducklings in her care. So I went to see them!

The time fluffballs make me so happy!

This is my last port for Malmö, Sweden. For now anyway!

All of a sudden, while enjoying the lake in Malmö, this family of ducklings swam up! They were so cute, I had to take photos of them! So many babies!

Ok, I will start with a the last of the Malmö flowers;

And I shall end with a windmill, and a nice statue next to a beautiful lake! This is how I ended my walk on this beautiful day. I loved this statue. Something about this boy and the geese. I looked for a story, but couldn’t find one. I imagine this boy made friends with these geese, that they saw him as one of their own. And maybe they protected him.

Continuing on my walk through the park in Malmö, Sweden, I cam across several new families enjoying the day! Some had their challenging moments, as is with all families! But they seem to enjoy quality time together!

It may be cliche to say it, typical tourist fashion, but it must be said. Seriously, the tulips in Sweden are absolutely stunning! And Malmö provided the perfect way for me to see them for the first time! I am a sucker for beautiful flowers but Tulips are my favorites, and I hope I get to see these again!

The biggest difference of going to Malmö, Sweden in Spring as opposed to January, was that the weather was so much warmer and sunnier, so I could take more time exploring the town. Here are a few more pictures of Malmö, Sweden.

Malmo, Sweden is beautiful any time of year. I can say that honestly from experience. The first time I visited was in winter, January actually. And yes, it was cold, but still calmly serene and lovely. Here are a few pictures I took the first time around.

There is a church, like in all old city squares, although this one also has a miniature of itself outside, which I found charming.

But may absolute favorite part of Wroclaw, Poland were the gnomes! I love them! They are scattered all over the city as part of an art installation commissioned to bring more joy into the city, and they did just that for me! They popped up in all sorts of unexpected places, and made me smile every time I discovered one! You can of course, go to the tourist office, and get a map to show you where they all are, but what is the fun in that. I much preferred being caught off guard every time I saw one!

And can a city really call itself whimsical without a giant chair in an intersection for no reason? I think not!

This place is called the Vinyl Cafe! Great coffee, and super cool vibe! Lots of vinyl records to play on different types of record players, and you are free to try them! Well worth a stop while in Wroclaw, Poland.

Ok, back to the city itself! I guess after spending so much time in Russia, we were expecting Poland to be more gray, or cold, or harsh somehow. What we found was color!

Bright, warm, inviting colors and Whimsy!

Wroclaw, you did not disappoint! I love this square! So much to enjoy about it! Food here is hearty, but inexpensive, which was great! The atmosphere was playful and joyful, and on the whole, I had a great time!

So, I realize this is just a post of swans in a lake and it could be anywhere, but it isn’t anywhere. These were taken in the lake outside my hotel in Wroclaw, Poland. And I had so much fun taking these photos, and watching them swim! Mind you, we were there in the month of March, and the weather was great. People were out enjoying the swans, scenery, and the weather.

In addition, I can only post 10 photos at a time on here, so, I have decided to dedicate this one to swans. Enjoy!

What a surprise Poland was! From the view of my hotel, I was immediately taken by it’s beauty! Wroclaw is such a gem! One of those little gifts you stumble upon in your journies. Beautiful views everywhere, lovely weather, and inexpensive to visit! Love!
