I finally decided to post more of my fics online !! Here you can find a rewrite of a N/Dardanne fic, alongside its second chapter !

The fic is a sort of slow burn romance between N and his knight. Chapters are glimpses into different stages of their relationship, from strangers to romantic partners

I think this drawing takes place relatively early in the journey, around Nacrene City ?

In my opinion it's very likely that, because of Ghetsis' awful education, N learned to completely dehumanize the grunts and merely regards them as tools to further Plasma's goals. So when N gathers a party for the Nacrene gym, he is surprised to see that Dardanne seems to genuinely care for pokémon, whether they are "his own" or wild ones

Also featuring Old Politoed, Zorua, Satin (purrloin) and Ombre (deino, blind,,,,)

I love how you gave the Pokémon different patterns, shades, and fur placements instead of them being all alike like the deino!!! 😊

Thank you !!! I've only recently started giving pokémon patterns, for a long time only Bateau-Mouche (Mel's rattata) had some !

As an example here are all of Mel's rodent pokémon I forgot to post !!! Only his patrat Scamper doesn't have special patterns, he just has neck fluff :)

What do Eleos siblings think of Guzma? Are they trying to keep him away? Or do they end up liking him?

Honestly I think that the Harmonia siblings can understand the concept of redemption better than most people, so I think they'd all be pretty accepting of Guzma :)

Sable is usually a shy pokémon, and tends to flee humans due to her horrible past in Plasma... She took months to learn to trust Dardanne. She ended up growing fond of him and she refused to be released, prefering to integrate his party

Eleos and Guzma didn't get along at all at first !

Guzma perceived Eleos as uptight, stern, prudish, even puritanical. He also thought that Eleos was a girl for a short while lol. Eleos thought that Guzma was chaotic, destructive, rude and overconfident...

After their first encounter in Malie Garden, they still find themselves curious about each other. In an odd way, it was love at first sight, but they both decided to pretend that it was just anger that made them think about the other so much

Would it be possible to see some team plasma grunts trying to find their way in the world? While doing therapy and finding jobs?

Honestly Dardanne is the closest character I have to this idea, that's pretty much his entire character arc in the time gap and in the Post BW2 !

Dar served as a grunt since he was a preteen and it did long-lasting damages to his psyche (Mainly him having a tendency to consider himself worthless and undeserving of attention or care, a constant need to atone for his sins (whatever they may be), an overwhelming guilt about having accidentally hurt his pokémon, many many trust issues, big difficulties to open up to people, etc)

It took Dardanne being unwillingly separated from N at the end of BW to even consider changing his ways, and the journey was very, very difficult. For a time he stays in a somewhat dissociated state where he goes through his days without being connected to reality because it's so painful for him to have lost Plasma as a whole (the people he loved and cared about, the routine it created, the false sense of safety it had given him).

He touches rock bottom after the passing of Old Politoed. He snaps at Alder when he attempts to comfort him. The overwhelming grief makes Dardanne mean and aggressive. He isolates himself and withers away in his home, only moving around to ensure cares for his remaining pokémon. Dar isn't a perfect victim and at this point he snaps at people a lot, unconsciously self-sabotaging.

Dardanne only starts climbing the slope back up with his mienfoo Aster hatching. Aster is extremely energetic, and him and Dar's other pokémon basically drag Dar out of his room. It starts with small steps, like cooking a proper meal, waking up a bit earlier, drawing again.

With Alder and Rood's encouragements, Dardanne starts training his pokémon. The activity forces him to go outside, and it also makes him bond with his newly hatched mienfoo. Dardanne finds new interests in things he hadn't considered previously, such as gardening and tinkering.

With his mental health stabilizing, Dardanne takes up a part-time job at the Pokémon Day Care. He enjoys it a lot, and it turns out that he does really good at reading pokémon body language. In his free time, Dardanne starts drawing more and makes his own garden. He also takes in hurt pokémon and helps them trust humans again until they can be either released or given to a new trainer.

By BW2, Dar has established a rather healthy life for himself, and despite not having fully healed (because some of his issues will take decades to properly be treated honestly), he enjoys life again. He loves his pokémon, he finds things that make him happy, life is worth living again. He is his own being, worthy of love, no longer depending of someone else's validation.

Therapy-wise, Dar does go to therapy, but it's pretty much a life-long process for him seeing the damages Plasma has caused. Dar actually has a meowstic (Marin!) who was given to him specifically to help him during breakdowns, meltdowns and crisis ! Marin isn't a part of Dar's battling party and instead a companion pokémon, since he was trained to help humans
