“Then I will adopt him as my own!”
Paz: “Look this shiny guy is a piece of shit. And his kid is weird. And don’t even get me started on this princess bitch. But this guy.. he’s MY piece of shit. And this kid is one of us even tho idk how his weird ass ears are gonna go in a helmet. And this princess.. man i just gave up on my kid and she was like nah bruh let’s climb this mountain.. So let’s fucking go kill some pirates. This is the way.”
The Talking Hammer ™ implies that the covert has had a meeting that ended with someone getting their shit rocked after running their mouth when they didn’t have the Talking Hammer ™
"THEN I WILL ADOPT HIM AS MY OWN"
"LET IT BE WRITTEN IN SONG THAT DIN DJARIN IS ACCEPTING THIS FOUNDLING AS HIS SON"
"YOU ARE NOW DIN GROGU"
You are now Din Grogu, Mandalorian apprentice.
There are two options and both of them are equally funny. Jon Favreau just let the entire internet call that man Din as his given name and didn’t say a goddamned thing until the end of the third season, casually blowing years of assumed knowledge into absolute shreds, that he waited three full fucking years to drop that bomb despite that his finger was on the trigger the entire time. Or. He random woke up one morning halfway into writing the third season and said to himself, “You know what would be really, really funny to do to the entire internet?” and chose the violence in his heart. I respect both options, Favreau, my hat’s off to you!
#they’re the same thing
THEY’RE A FAMILY
HE'S GOT HIS SON AND HE'S GOT LAND AND HE'S GOT A HOUSE AND HE'S GOT A SHIP AND HE'S GOT HIS OLD JOB BACK AND
I do love how they didn’t make the other Mandalorians go something along the lines of “what is that thing how can he be a mandalorian” when Din was trying to get Grogu to train. It never crossed their minds to not consider him a foundling, which I suspect is partially because the writing doesn’t let anybody have actual human conversations now, but still it fits the group’s admiration of adoption perfectly. They don’t care about Grogu’s species or his previous place among the Jedi, they only care about the fact he’s the size of the toddlers they got in the Mandalorian daycare and his Dad is telling his 2-year-old to fuck another kid up in paintball. To which he does lmao
I know the other Mandalorian kids like 'why can't we come on missions it's not fair why does Grogu get to go he's only a baby' and their parents are like 'because Grogu's dad is a fucking idiot'
It really took Din months to figure out that loophole to give the blade to Bo and that’s the most Din Djarin thing to ever happen. Man was like this every night trying to find a way to get rid of that burden.
ken is just ken.
They need to give Grogu a "why?" button so Din can have the true toddler dad experience
i need season 1.5 of the last of us which will just be 10 hours of joel and ellie exploring abandoned theme parks and museums and playing guitar and telling each other jokes and laughing and stargazing and THEN they can make season 2 and i simply won’t watch it
