When we hike through valleys in our life the journey can be long and wearisome. We sometimes feel that our small decisions and actions have no real impact. We become so focused on the day to day that we easily forget the big picture. This 8 mile hike through Yosemite Valley, alongside Vernall Fall, up the steps of Mist Trail, and then up the steep rocky incline at the base of Liberty Cap to the top of Nevada Fall to overlook the valley below was an amazing and challenging experience. From this perspective at Glacier Point, I came to realize how great of a feat this “easier trail” was to accomplish from the day prior. You can see the falls in the distance at 5.6 miles away.
