Hi, it's me, Jessy B!... I want to thank everyone who has been checking out the blog over the past couple of years and especially those artists who have submitted their projects on www.jessybfresh.com. This blog has transformed from my personal artist page, to a blog about everything, and finally as the beginnings of a small startup investing in the art community. I'd like to come full circle by rededicating this site to the artist it's named after by exclusively featuring my music and art projects; many of which are debuting soon. But I haven't forgotten about you guys! In June I'll be revealing and launching a new indie Creative Label...think music label...but for musicians, artists, crafters, skaters and all those other wonderful creators out there. The label *insert name here* will be adding its first signees and sponsorships in the next few weeks (you can still submit your projects through this blog...please do!). Our team is too excited to wait for this launch, so.... I'm proud to give you the first glimpse of the clothing line that will be featured on the label! Let us know what you think, if we get 100 comments we'll release the sweater for pre-sale!!!! First Exclusive Interview from Lord Solo!

            We're back with the very first...brand new exclusive interview with Lord Solo of the Lost Mindz Collective! The Cleveland local just released his debut ep "Vivid" and self directed video "Bad Dreamz" featuring Lord Stalin. We asked him a few questions for you guys so check it out!

      Q. Hey! So what's your day been like so far? Good, just chilling with the fam (Lost Mindz Collective). 

  Q. Where are you from and how's the come up for a young rapper? I'm from Cleveland Ohio, the come up here isn't that hard if you really put in work and connect with people that's on the same shit, you know. 

    Q. Do you have a name or specific idea for the type of music you make? Nah but it's different, it's like an alternative rap I guess, you can call it (that) haha. 

  Q. What are your favorite bars you've dropped so far? I don't know. Most of em are my favorite. It's hard to say for real. 

  Q. Tell me a little about the process of making your debut EP "Vivid." Well I was just laying tracks in then I decided to make an EP. The first track journey is more of my newish style then it goes back to older tracks when I was actually finding my flow. Then the last track was a track with my newer flow "lucid Dreamz" - and then it's a sequel to it on my brother Stalin's up-in-coming tape called "bad dreamz" and that music video just dropped too; on Peacecollection LMC YouTube page.         Q. What do you get into when you aren't creating music?  Skateboarding, meditating, shooting videos, smokin good tree haha, creating designs for my clothing line and just chillin and mobbin with the fam. 

  Q. What type of rap music do you NOT make? Shitty rap haha, I don't rap about money and all dat I just rap about what I do or whats on my mind. I believe I'm pretty decent compared to some rappers that already made it and are ass.

The M.E.D.S., a collage of visual art is set around the inner workings of Baltimore and the industries of sports, film and entertainment. Shot by Kirby Griffin for 4th Eye Diaries, the piece explores the "behind-the-scenes" of Baltimore City and is set to the musical backdrop of the M.E.D.S., one the latter songs on the Full Length LP, EarthSide released in February 2014.

This is the new HTC One. 

So what’s new about it? At first glance it looks awfully similar to the old one, no? There are quite a few hardware differences once you spend some time with it, though. The screen is a little bigger (5.0 inches versus 4.7 inches) and its all-metal body has a little more heft to it. During a pre-briefing, the phone felt very sturdy. Solid. “This year with the HTC One we really wanted to double down on what was working very well on that design, which was about 70% metal,” Scott Croyle, HTC senior vice president of design, told Fast Company. “We’re actually able to get 90% metal now… all the way around to the front housing. It creates fewer breaks and a purer design.”

    So lately [ like usual but more often than normal ] I've been looking for some really good new music. I was lucky to wake up this morning and find an EP submission from the artist 'Innocent Criminal'.  

  How could I describe the "Beautiful Wrong" EP?

  Definitely Indie, a little UK Soul and R&B, crisp layered Production, it's so New Wavey, it's what Hip Hop should be today.

Google’s New Amsterdam Offices Are Extremely Dutch

Google’s offices, though always Google-y, tend to take inspiration from their location. The original campus in Mountain View is sprawling and sunny, like an alternate-universe Stanford. The New York offices, on the far West Side, are industrial and loft-like. (More examples: London, Pittsburgh, Dublin.) And the new Amsterdam offices have stroopwafel ceiling panels.

'90s Cartoon Characters Re-imagined as if They Were Addicted to Drugs

        We’re familiar with child stars gone bad, but cartoon stars? The darkly humorous mind of illustrator Paul Ribera has imagined such a devastating world. In a series of frightening depictions, Ribera re-imagines cartoon characters from the '90s as if they had all developed serious drug habits. Think, the Powderpuff Girls on Molly, Hey Arnold smoking crack, and Dexter in a meth lab.

“I want people to know what goes on in the boarded up house and how it’s not all Kim & Kanye and happy stadium proposals the media tends to give off,” Ribera told the Huffington Post. “Life’s struggle is real and it’s in our own backyard and in this case, it’s in our cartoons.”

This nightmarish project is the result of the artist’s interest in “the drug lifestyle,” the effects of such a lifestyle, and a penchant for the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. One day, when watching re-runs of cartoons while he was working, Ribera decided to go “dark as hell with it and let the popular images the world knows turn into what I’ve seen on a daily basis for the past 20 years.”
