my personal answer that its because they have no chemistry between each other and it feels like they appeared out of nowhere. like. of course in the original story alice and white rabbit have a lot of interactions, but alistair and bunny are not them. maybe if eah showed us a little bit more of their background, their feelings and emotions (except of bunny's jealousy) than i would believe in their affair. i dont know how to explain it, but in short i feel something like that.

Honestly I really don’t like the EAH fandom. I got back into the show due to Alice in Wonderland being my special interest and got hyperfixated on it for a while and just Dear Lord

Anytime I would go into that tag, I would get mad it was so frustrating. Especially as an Alice fan, so much of the fandom does not care to actually understand the book. Ig it makes sense since, in my opinion, the show was kinda shit at writing Wonderland and really only the main three girls and, Hatter and the Queen of Hearts were like actually well written and/or fun.

Anytime someone says that Kitty and Duchess would be friends SOLELY BECAUSE she reminds Kitty of The Duchess, an angel loses its wings. The Duchess is canonically a horrible, abusive person and I don’t think any Cheshire would ever like anyone because they remind them of The Duchess. The fact that Kitty and her family are seemingly forever destined(according to the EA system) to be stuck in an incredibly hostile and distressing home is like the biggest example of EAH fans not caring to actually engage with the actual book and it being detrimental to how they write characters. Cause genuinely that would not just give so much depth to Kitty but also to Cheshire as well which that character desperately needs.

And just in general, I don’t really trust most EAH fans with fairytales which is!!! Insane to say!!!! Because the show is literally about fairytales.

Idk just going into the main tag is no fun and it’s the most frustrated I’ve ever been in a fandom which is saying smth cause AIW fans can be VERY insufferable especially about certain adaptations

That is so valid. I honestly hope that you can find the people that aren't annoying. I somehow did and it's honestly made everything so much better.

Sometimes I wish people didn't dismiss, deny, gloss over, or downplay the fact that the Cheshire Cat, Snow White, and the Evil Queen are technically and canonically abusive towards their daughters. As an abuse victim, sometimes it really sucks seeing people glorify the abusive behaviour or toxic behaviour the moms do against their children. I hate seeing other EAH fans dismiss or try to deny the abuse, because they like their girlboss characters or want to glorify villains without really understanding their behaviours or recognizing them for what they are. Again, you can glorify or like villain characters, but at least don't deny when they are doing something that they are objectively doing. Own that you like a character who does bad crap or hurts others. That comes with the territory of liking a villain. Don't sanitize them to make yourself feel less guilty or weird about liking a villain or antagonistic character. (I am aware Cheshire Cat isn't really a villain, but more of an antagonist at least in Spring Unsprung.)

That is 100% valid. I also agree with you. We shouldn't sanitize them because it 100% like ignores all of the bad shit that they did. I'm also an abuse victim, so I'm glad that there are others that think like this.

The last panel of each strip for their Arcanist in a Nutshell comics? Isolde seeing Kakania in the vulnerable moments in her Small Room, and Kakania (an aspiring psychiatrist) seeing Isolde (her last patient and the one who changed everything) during work. Both in front of a mirror, Kakania in clear and content weather as Isolde basks in light. (They both hope for the others presence in a way. Isolde wants to be with Kakania again who she sees as light, and Kakania wants clear weather with NO more rain and content skies with Isolde.) Kakania’s table has lost its light, but it’s completely straight. While Isolde’s table is full of life, but her table is tilted (Notice how when you put them together, Kakania is covering up the way it’s tilted). Tea party etiquette dictates that the pot’s spout is pointed towards the person who last poured the tea. Each of their tables are prepared for a guest.

I just realized that in 6's I2 illustration, just like his udimo, he's facing away from the light of truth despite it being right in the palm of his hand and remained a prisoner in the cave (his wrist and ankle accessories resembling shackles and the bg being in a cave).

Edit: Also, another way of interpreting his I2 illustration with the Prisoner in a Cave metaphor is that he's the one casting the shadows on the walls for the believers of the island (the "prisoners", so to speak)

Meanwhile 37's I2 illustration depicts her still reaching out for the light of truth that's just out of reach long after freeing herself from the cave (37 wearing a wreath laurel, which usually symbolizes triumph and the bg being in a beach where we can see the sky) with her udimo also swimming in the same direction towards the light.

Also both illustrations depict a silhouette of a feminine figure holding the light which I suppose is meant to represent the goddess of truth, I guess?
