when they booked tickets to italy, she never imagined it would turn out like this. olivia had come with her friends expecting a fun summer, good food, nice views, maybe a few memories to take home, but she hadn’t expected jett. the apartment had been booked for a while, one of those lucky early plans, and even though summer was slowly coming to an end, she had made up her mind, she wanted to stay a little longer, for him. now they were at the beach, sitting side by side, her head resting on his shoulder as they watched the sunset paint the sky in soft colors. she let out a quiet breath, taking it all in. "i wish this is the prettiest view i’ve ever seen," olivia murmured softly. after a small pause, she tilted her head slightly, a faint smile on her lips. "should we get in the water?" @jett--maverick
Jett sat sprawled beside her like he owned the stretch of sand beneath them, one knee bent, arm slung easy behind her as Olivia leaned into him. The sunset washed everything gold and orange, but his attention had drifted from the horizon a while ago. It was on her. At her words, a crooked grin tugged at the corner of his mouth. He glanced out at the sea for half a second before looking back down at her, smug and warm all at once. “Nah,” he said smoothly, voice low with that easy confidence he carried everywhere. “Prettiest view I've ever seen’s sitting right here leaning against my shoulder.” He let that sit for a beat, knowing exactly what he was doing, then chuckled softly through his nose. When she mentioned the water, Jett looked toward the waves like he was considering it, then pushed himself up in one fluid motion. He dusted the sand from his hands and held one out to her. “C’mon then,” His brows lifted with playful challenge. “Try keep up, yeah?” Before she could fully take his hand, he gave her a teasing tug to pull her to her feet, then started backing toward the shoreline with that cocky grin still in place. “And if it’s cold, don’t go blamin’ me. This is your idea."
