Hey can you guys reblog Cheeseburger so he can take a sunbeam nap on lots of blogs. No other reason I just want you guys to see him.
overlap of you & me
the strong family band
For so long, all I wanted was for you to love me, to accept me. I thought it was my honor that I wanted. But really, I was just trying to please you.

Thank you to ATLA for not giving the abusive dad a redemption arc
^
To add though: they also didnât have Zuko forgive him!
That is the most hated trope for me, when the abused kid always forgives the parent because of whatever excuse the writers decide.
They also showed him realise what happened to him was wrong and realising how badly he was treated! It wasnât always known to him or realisedâŠpart of his journey was realising this himself.
It is so rare to see a kid allowed to be angry at those who hurt them and it made me so happy to see this!
The thing is lads I cannot think of a better use for my tax dollars than feeding children. I want my taxes to give the single mother of three healthcare. I want my taxes to take care of the elderly and the disabled. I donât care if theyâre citizens or legal residents or whatever. I want my taxes to help people. Because weâre trying to live in a goddamn society. Instead my taxes go towards bombing schools and hospitals and refugee camps. Billions and billions sent to proxy wars. And still people quibble over whether we should feed children. What are we doing here. Feed the kids.
only together
is that piece of media actually bad, or is it just not following the blueprint you projected onto it? is that work actually not good, or are you just demanding something from it that is absolutely antithetical to its themes, genre, tone, and narrative goal? is that story actually poorly written, or do you just dislike that it is not the specific things you wanted from it that it never set out to be, never was, and never is going to become? is it actually bad, or is it actually well-executed and you just dislike the story it chose to be because it isn't catering to your specific desires and expectations?
More people need to embrace the concept of "it's objectively good, I just don't like it"
honestly iâve stopped caring if media is good. all that matters is that Me, The Most Important Person, is having a good time.
For many girls and women, aromanticism is inherently a form of gender nonconformity, just as asexuality is for boys and men.
Romance novels are seen as being âfeminine,â and romcoms are often derogatorily called âchick-flics,â for example. Women are expected to want flowers and chocolates and care about things like anniversaries and marriage to a greater extent than is expected of men. Even many of the things women are expected to do to conform to female gender roles are centered around looking attractive: having long well-styled hair, wearing makeup, shaving, wearing skirts and dresses, etc.
So shoutout to aro women and girls who want to be feminine but feel like their aromanticism makes them feel like an outsider to womanhood. Shout out to women and girls who feel left out of âgirl talkâ because they donât have a crush or significant other to tell their friends about, or because they donât think any of their classmates/coworkers/etc. are âcute.â Shout out to aro girls who are sick of being asked âwho youâre dressing up forâ any time they want to wear a bit of eyeliner and a pretty skirt. Your femininity is not made any less real or valid by your aromanticism.
And shoutout to gender nonconforming aro women and girls. Shoutout to aro women and girls whose aromanticism makes them feel disconnected from femininity. Shoutout to aro women and girls with short hair, and deep voices, and hair on their upper lips, chins, chests, stomachs, backs, armpits, arms, and legs that they choose not to shave off. Shoutout to aro women and girls who identify as both female and non-binary, who are both male and female, who use pronouns other than she/her. Shoutout to intersex aro girls and women. Yâallâre cool as hell and the aro community wouldnât nearly as beautiful and vibrant without you.
Relatable thoughts for Pride Month.
All about rodenticides! Bird Friendly London (www.birdfriendlylondon.ca) hired me to make this comic with a grant from Nature Canada. Rodenticides are harming my local raptors so it's an issue that's close to my heart.
since mrs, ms, and mr are all descended from the latin word magister, i propose the gender neutral version should be mg, short for "mage"
Look, we joke a lot, but really, "you were born evil, wretched, worse than the scum of the earth, and it took killing a god to make you salvageable, so now you'd better be grateful to that god and thank him 10,000 times a day for it and fill your thoughts with him 24/7 and abide by the letter of his every word, lest you suffer unimaginable torture for all of eternity" is a truly horrendous thing to believe about yourself and other people
just because someone can articulate their point better doesnât make them right, it makes them articulated.Â
and you arenât stupid for having trouble articulating yourself.
Itâs like how dudes on the internet turn into revolutionary war soldiers writing home from war whenever somebody tells them that their takes on Star Wars are bad
Dear professor this assignment did not nourish my fundamentally curious soul so i did not do it No penalty full 100 points please Goodbye!
