Bonjour! Last Thursday, January 18, 2017, the complete L’Oreal INFALLIBLE #NEVERFAIL makeup line was officially launched at Valkyrie, BGC. The makeup line claims to have a long-wear performance. Well, let’s put it to test against sweat, food and fading.

First stop, the Infallible makeover. I got a special full, fierce makeover from Ms. Angelica Garcia, Senior makeup artist of L’Oreal Paris.

Now that I’m glammed up, it’s time to challenge the INFALLIBLE 24HR FOUNDATION versus sweat as I enjoy an energizing drumming-inspired Pound Rockout workout for 30 minutes. 

After a sweat-dripping workout, I put the INFALLIBLE 10HR LIPSTICK to the test and see if it stays even after munching on hors d’oeuvres and sipping wine. 

Workout? Done! Munching? Done!

The Sassy Dreamcatcher at the E! Bloggers Ball

Bonjour! You might be wondering what happens when today’s top fashion & beauty social media influencers and industry leaders gather together to celebrate passion, creativity and influence of blogging. It’s definitely an experience every blogger couldn’t afford to miss and I’d love to share with you what happened at the very first E! Bloggers Ball that I attended together with Clozette last Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the City of Dreams Manila Grand Ballroom.  

Together with other bloggers and personalities in the fashion and beauty industry, we were welcomed with a fabulous red carpet and photographers waiting for us to strut our way and flaunt our formal attires. As bloggers love to get their picture taken, there were three photo stops before we enter the main reception hall- the white paper flower wall was definitely my favorite! Entering while walking down the red carpet was filled with no less of style and glamour.

The hall was dressed up in classy black and white with a dash of gold for sparkle! It was filled with good music by Reese Lansangan and a scrumptious dinner was served together with white wine. I shared a table with my fellow Clozette-Blogger Babes friends. 

After the dinner, Metro Magazine Editor-in-Chief Sarah Meier gave a talk about her experiences in the industry and inspired the crowd with her advice. Afterwards, several bloggers were awarded and E! Stylist Inc. launched its second season that will start airing on October 24. 

Of course, the night is not just about the glamour and style. It was also about connecting with friends who share the same passion as I have. Thankful that I finally met these gorgeous Clozette-Blogger Babes.

Bonjour! Now that I am working in the corporate world, putting on makeup became a regular thing but during the times when I feel really lazy to put on makeup, my go-to makeup essential are lipsticks. #JWanderDiaries: Dampalitan Island, Quezon Province

Bonjour! The rainy season has officially started, but in a tropical country like the Philippines, you will always feel summer and crave for a beach trip every once in a while! If you’re planning to have a quick getaway this weekend, check out my travel diary to one of the beautiful islands here in the Philippines, Dampalitan Island in Quezon Province.

Dampalitan Island is an unspoiled beach with no available tap water, electricity, and has a limited cellular and wifi signal. (starting to think twice? haha) But I assure you, there’s no need to worry because residents of the island sell water for drinking or shower. There will also be electricity for a limited time during night time. Plus, having limited wifi and cellular access just mean you can appreciate and enjoy your stay in the island without any form of interruptions. Sounds great to me. :) 

Here’s some of my island essentials: sun glasses, good read, action cam and sun screen.

Since only cottages are available for rent in the island. It is also advisable for you bring your own tent. 

Dampalitan Island is one of the beaches where you can truly relax, unwind and worry about nothing. I only stayed in the island for a weekend but I know there’s so much more to SEA! The only thing you need to do is to look around, you’ll never know what you can discover and explore!

In Denim of Love

Bonjour! With this post’s title I bet you already know the main star of my #OOTD. It’s all about DENIM :) This is actually my first time to wear a denim on denim outfit. They say that there are a lot of do’s and don’ts when it comes to wearing an all denim look but let’s make it a little easier. Here’s some of the tips on how I wore this outfit combination.  

TIP # 1: BALANCED SHADES OF DENIM

One thing that I observed when it comes to wearing denim on denim is to combine two different washes, shades or textures of denims in your outfit. There’s this “general rule” that lighter shades of denim emphasize the body part it covers while darker shades of denim create a slimming effect.

TIP # 2: LESS IS MORE

Combining denims requires a more simpler look. I didn’t wear any jewelry to keep the whole outfit simple. If you want to accessorize, a simple jewelry will do. 

TIP # 3: ADD COLOR

 I wore a pair of black chunky heels sandals and a black purse to complete the look. Solid and bold colors complement denim on denim.

JWanderDiaries: Sundowners Vacation Villas (Bolinao Pangasinan, Philippines)

Bonjour! Many things happened during the last few months of 2015 that kept me busy and not be able to blog. But hey, I’m back!! Since it’s a new year, part of my new year’s resolution (a goal actually..) is to post 2-4 blog updates about fashion, travel and lifestyle every month! Sounds great? :) To start, here’s my travel diary of the white washed Santorini inspired gem of the north, the Sundowners Vacation Villas in Bolinao, Pangasinan.

It’s very unexpected that I just discovered this place through stumbling upon their sponsored ad on Facebook. Ahhh.. One of the reasons why I love social media, it let’s you discover beautiful things!! When I researched and saw more pictures of the place, I was already amazed and craved to see the place in person. So, my family and I decided to spend our Christmas vacation here. The place is much more lovely than I thought. More than the beauty of the place, their friendly and accommodating staff will make you feel at home. Here, take a look :)

Although there is an amazing view of the sea from the villa, it’s not great for swimming. The good thing is, you can still swim in two of their infinity pools.

3 Ways to Support the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Bonjour! October is a special month to support the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. It’s celebrated every October worldwide to show how important it is to know about Breast Cancer.  If you want to take part on the campaign, I’ve listed three simple ways on how you can show your support to the community– Think Pink, Go Pink, and Get Pink.

1. Think Pink

Learning about the campaign and knowing information about Breast Cancer could go a long way. Share about it to your classmates, co-workers, friends, and family. By doing this, you’re helping the people around you to be more aware and the community to grow.

2. Go Pink

Wear something pink! It could be a shirt, a pair of shoes or an accessory. Show your love and care by posting a photo and telling your followers on your social media sites all about it.

3. Get Pink

Get involved on Breast Cancer events near you. There are several events like Breast Cancer walk, run, or concerts. A better way to enjoy while you’re helping for a cause.

Just by doing one of these ways can give inspiration and hope to Breast Cancer victims and survivors to keep fighting.

One of my most favorite things about attending events is meeting people with the same passion as I have. I’ve already knew and followed them on social media sites but it’s a totally different feeling when I met them in person. So happy to meet these pretty fashion bloggers and Clozetters!

I enjoyed and learned tons of things about blogging from the event. I’ll make sure that I’ll apply them here and stay inspired with what I do just like when I just started blogging! The most important thing I’ll always remember from the talks (not just for blogging but can also be applied in life) is to know who you are and focus on it because it’s a very competitive world out there, you need to get noticed with what you do best! That means, simply be the unique person you are.
