domain expansion - yin
on it's own, takeshi's domain expansion is chaotic, a visual representation of his grief, anger and every negative trait about himself. takeshi's domain is a journey into madness - while physical damage can be inflicted (and is always sure to hit) takeshi's focuses more on psychological damage.
he's able to see into another person's mind, twisting everything around them and bringing their worst memories forward, forcing them to relive it and slowly driving them towards madness and their eventual death, whether that be takeshi striking them down or taking it into their own hands, so to speak.
takeshi's domain does not come without repercussions of course. whatever psychological damage he inflicts upon someone else is also something that he takes on. if takeshi relies too heavily on his domain expansion, he risks falling into madness himself.
every time he enters his domain, a little piece of his sanity is chipped away, causing takeshi to eventually succumb to madness himself. there is only one mitigating factor to the effects of takeshi's domain expansion is takeo himself.

two sides of the same coin - where takeshi's domain expansion focuses heavily on psychological damage and negative traits, takeo's acts as more of a supporting role with one sole focus in mind - keeping takeshi alive.
where the general rule of domain expansions is that the more dominant one would take over, that's not the case with takeshi and takeo. twins are considered one person, and so both expansions are able to exist as one - and that is when the twins are at their most powerful.
takeo is not affected psychologically by takeshi's domain expansion, and in fact it's takeo's own domain that has the power to prevent takeshi from taking psychological damage that he would otherwise get from inflicting it upon others. takeo's focus has always been his brother and keeping him safe, so it makes sense that his domain expansion would reflect that.
while both domains are able to exist without the other, it is without takeo that takeshi is at his most vulnerable and so takeo feels this overwhelming weight of the world on his shoulders to always be there for his twin, to keep him safe and sane.

this verse, aside from being just a jjk verse is a study in: achieving balance, co-dependency, recovering from past trauma, and descent into madness. amongst a myriad of other things but i digress.
