I’m depressed again. And Hobi’s lyric in Normal “If everything’s just happy, that ain’t real, that ain’t real” is running through my head like some sort of mantra and it’s keeping me from breaking down. Okay, Hobi. This will pass. I can’t be happy all the time. Depression is part of my life. That’s normal for me. But ugh, why does depression have to be so sad? (That’s a rhetorical question, by the way.)

My first impression (or interpretation) of Namjoon’s verse of the Normal MV:

He’s sad and frustrated when he’s eating the cake by himself. Also, he’s in a confined space where the colors are dark and muted when he’s by himself. But he’s happy and smiling when he’s sharing the cake with the members. And he’s in an open and inviting space where the colors are bright and vibrant when he’s with them. In short, OT7 forever! 💜
